  1. LG G4 77" + XBOX Series X "No Signal" when Launching Games

I recently purchased a brand new LG G4 77". It's beautiful and works flawlessly with everything except for XBOX Series X gaming. FYI, I have my XBSX, Nvidia Shield, and Panasonic UB-450 all going into my Yamaha RX-V6A receiver (into the first 3 HDMI 2.1 ports using high quality Ultra Speed HDMI cables - I'm even using the HDMI cable that came with the XBSX into the GAME HDMI 2.1 port on the back of the receiver) and then HDMI out of the receiver's ARC port in the eARC port (HDMI 2) on the G4.

I am able to navigate the home screen/settings of the XBOX Series X just fine and can have the Video modes settings maxed out (4K UHD 120 fps and all the VRR/ALLM/HDR video setting boxes checked). The issue is, as soon as I launch a game, the screen goes black and then shows No Signal on the TV. The XBOX remains on, and I can hit the XBOX home button + A on the controller to get back to the home screen, but re-launching the game causes the same issue. The one workaround has been disabling HDMI Deep Color mode in the LG Device settings, however, this is unfortunate as it unchecks a lot of the XBOX Video modes settings and lowers the resolution to 1080p.

Any ideas? I read that disabling/re-enabling SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) could help? Will try this later tonight but don't have a lot of faith in this. FYI, I did perform a Reset on the XBOX as well.

Xbox Series X - Black screen while sound is still playing

Having this issue with the series X and the 2020 77” LG OLED. Only thing that fixes it is turning the TV off and on.

will there ever be gaming tv again?

g4 hasn't been a gaming channel for years, when tech tv became g4 it was a gaming channel, many of shows had to do with games, you had X play, game trailers tv, and another game reviewing show (forget the name). i'm glad g4 is dieing, AoTS was terrible,
xplay was more commercials and BS than content. the only thing G4 did well was show e3, and even then they never got the MS conference which doesn't make sense to me why spike gets it every year.

Xbox series X and LG C2 problems.

No, unfortunately, one cannot speak of clarity in this case, because I have experienced the exact opposite case.

I own the LG C1 and the LG C2, and the handshake problems have NEVER occurred in over a year of use on the C1! Instead, however, they keep coming back with the C2 on the same Xbox Series X console. When switching this console back to the C1, the same picture again, NEVER! LG C1 and LG C2 both support Dolby Vision (for gaming). Before testing the LG C2 with one / my Series X, I had never heard of the handshake issue with Dolby Vision. Besides, the LG C2 works very well, but the Dolby Vision handshake in games can hardly be tested on other devices, because the PS5 does not support this feature and other devices are at least unknown to me.

Xbox Series X with LG C1 --> Screen goes black for a about a second (audio still there) every 5-20 minutes

    Hi AlexRodriguez5433,

I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue. Congrats on a stellar set up, though.

I also have an LG C1 77" playing 4k / 120fps / HDR and I have not had this problem when I was playing Forza 5, Overwatch or other games on my Xbox Series X.

Are you using the HDMI that came with your Xbox Series X? Do you have other high speed HDMI cables that you can try to use?

Check your General TV & Display options on your Xbox Series X (Nexus Button > Settings > General > TV & display options). Check your various Display, Setup, or Advanced settings to see if any of that helps resolve your issue.
