LFG Stuff

So, I can't be the only "adult" (by age only) that places LFGs looking for people over 18. I get so many butthurt kids joining my lobby saying that I should let them play with me despite the age. I'm sorry kid, but if you're still
at that point where your parents HAVE to buy your games for you, you need to leave. Especially with Friday the 13th! I can't be the only person that encounters these children.. or am I?

What's the purpose of LFG except to browse thru spam

I'd agree.. except a large number of LFG posts are
spam, as I originally posted but somehow was missed in response. Outside of Report to Xbox Live Enforcement (which does little to curb the abuse), there is little in the way to clear or filter out the spam LFG posts. If LFG's are mostly
spam, what is the purpose of having it? I don't think the LFG purpose is to get people to follow you, sell a dlc, sell an account, scam out in-game cash, etc. But that is what is has become. So, again, what is the purpose of LFG other than to browse thru spam?

Isn't part of being an Ambassador to make people feel welcome on Live and help to give them a good experience? I find it hard to believe that Microsoft would remove those conditions from the program.

Online interaction is unrated and so those children can be playing those games. Perhaps if you don't want to be friendly and welcoming toward them, you should reconsider your position in the Ambassador Program.

 

I can understand your position. I've run into some kids in the Friday the 13th game over the last couple of days that were downright scary. However, Zen does have a point that we should be welcoming to all people as much as possible.

We must remember though Zen Like Calm that Friday the 13th is a game that is beyond the age of most children. Being rated Mature 17+ means that younger children should not be playing it although parents will let them.

 

The problem is that the rating only counts for purchasing the games, the actual online interaction is unrated. Meaning they can play the game, just not make the initial purchase.

Essentially it is up to each parents conscience as to whether they allow their child to play those games online.

So why I can understand the frustrations of the OP, I genuinely feel they should reconsider their role as an Ambassador if they can not be that friendly and welcoming person that the program requires.
