    Let's talk Gaming Monitors


    Hey xbox community and fellow xbox ambassadors,

    i would like to start a discussion and get your opinions on gaming monitors. There are so many gaming monitors and brand names out there such as benq, samsung, acer, asus, lg, and others. What monitor do you guys use? I thought about purchasing one but,
    oh man....which to get! I narrowed it down to certain things that im looking for:

    144hz

    low input lag

    very low response time (is that the same thing as input lag? If not, whats the dif?)

    works well with xbox one x (free sync. In a nutshell, what is that?)

    1440p or 4k (not looking for hdr)

    27 inch - maybe 24

    used mainly for MP CoD

    there you have it ladies and gents and fellow ambs. Whats your suggestions? Cant wait to hear from you! Lastly, is there even a dif between playing on a monitor vs a TV? Let me know Let's talk Gaming Monitors :)

    We use the LG Freesync 34in IPS monitor. It's perfect for work mode and brilliant for gaming as it has advanced gaming features.

    As for what you are looking for we use Acer just for gaming - 144hz refresh rate, with AMD freesync and 1ms GTG response time, in a variety of sizes.

    You are right there are alot out there, best thing is listen to gamers not salespeople (as they may just try to upsell you something).

    And personally i find a computer monitor plays better though i love my TV to much, so its my main screen.

    I hope you find the perfect monitor that suits you.

    This is so far out of left field but I personally don't like using monitors. At least not for console, then again I'm not a big fan of PC gaming either. I prefer using my overtly large like sports bar TV that I pulled out of a liquidation sale from an old
    restaurant in town. Lol.

    Its just my two sense but when it comes to gaming I think of TV's but that's just my preferred level of immersion. They don't cause as much strain and you don't lose as much track of your surround the bigger the screen you are playing on.

    I could never use a monitor for xbox gaming...unless they made a 60" or bigger one lol. I wouldn't be able to afford that anyway though.
