You indeed make a valid point about whether or not there is confirmation of the DX11.2 being the current software at launch. I honestly can't say with certainty that it was not. I did find an article talking about the smallest details and differences between
the two next-gen systems, in which they mention DX12 and it's potential:

Currently the software is: Xbox One = DX11.2 / PS4 = OpenGL

If Sony sticks to their OpenGL software, then Microsoft is going to knock them out of the box when DX12 drops.

Since this is my second Xbone as the first one already overheated within a week and stopped working i definitely have my concerns...

All I was trying to get at, is that this is all just speculation right now. Until we see proof one way or the other, all of this is stoopid.

People are at each other's throats over speculation...

As gamers we should be celebrating progress, not trying to stifle it.

After the DX12 reveal Phil Spencer said that XB1 will have full DX12, and also other sources have said some features will be for nextgen GPUs. So what does that say about what is really in the XB1?

You know what man, you're right. I was just so excited about DX12 when I heard of it, I just wanted it to be perfect for the X1, hence my comments on proper hardware, but it's a moot point. Here's to hoping the DX12 integration is flawless and wipes the
floor with Sony's sorry OpenGL program

The One was released early as MS couldnt let Sony get a unopposed head start. I love mine (the wife will confirm) so no problem for me. I cant wait to see where I end up with it. DX12 will be one of many improvements I'm sure

ofc you have a gaming PC, xbox one and ps4

You don't need 64MB of ESram its not there to store textures, read the DX12 stuff and tiled resources so you understand what your trying to argue against.

The only way Xbox One can get 1080p is to dull the textures in other parts of the game like Forza- garbage detailed crowds..... Wolf will be the same you'll see....PS4 does not need to do that because it put its money into memory, and GPU. Not half baked
ideas like Kinect which I do not even have plugged in. Even when I had it plugged in - it would not understand me most of the time...

Price is irrelevant. If someone can afford $399, they can afford $499, or maybe they need to re-assess there finances and priorities.
