Let's Talk DirectX 12 & The Future of XOne

The only way Xbox One can get 1080p is to dull the textures in other parts of the game like Forza- garbage detailed crowds..... Wolf will be the same you'll see....PS4 does not need to do that because it put its money into memory, and GPU. Not half baked
ideas like Kinect which I do not even have plugged in. Even when I had it plugged in - it would not understand me most of the time...

 

I think I will take game performance over another spy device...

That's before any implementation of DX12. The resolution argument will be dead and gone very soon.

 

LOL I like how you avoid my answers. Its ok PS4 fan boy you cant help it that your All powerful PS4 cant ruin BF4 at 1080p or kill zone at 1080p. And some other games at 60fps like thief.

 

So if the PS4 ( and I'm not bashing it, great console if it's got the games people want ) is this all singing/power house, why are not all the games running at the magical "1080p/60fps" .. ?

And I can't believe people are still on about what has the better games, it's different for everyone.

Checked my stats yesterday on Forza 5, just about to hit 130 hours playing time, I absolutely love this game, best racer I've ever played.

My wife on the other hand really doesn't like any sort of racing title, whether it's 720/900 or 1080p, it could even run at 2000p and 400fps, she still wouldn't give you a thank you for it.

So as I always ask, is Forza a "good" or "bad" game? the answer is "different" for each of us. ( exactly the same for any game or console )

 

Owl... 10 posts ago you said you bought the XB1.... then said you play on your PS4... I guess you are better than most since you can afford both..

I purchased the original Xbox One, and if Microsoft tells me they that I have to spend another 400 dollars on another Xbox console. Then that would be where me and Xbox go our separate ways!

The only reason I own a PS4 is because Xbox failed to deliver the resolution I expected in the first place.

 

i'd say they built this console with those plans already in place with dx12. doubt it will cause any issues. i too think it is the push they need.

 

You guys are living in a dream world. I have both consoles because I purchased xbox one first then when I found out the games look better on PS4 I purchased PS4. They do look better on PS4. I told you before I don't like Ps4 and I was not kidding. I am upset
at Microsoft for not making the Xbox One with a better GPU. The ESRAM was not enough also because they spent all the money on Kinect. If they would have put 64MB of ESRAM in the Xbox One we would not be having this conversation right now. 32MB is not enough
so the games are going to run badly. Like TitanFall going into single frames when too many Titans are on the Map. Don't deny it either- even IGN agrees with me. You fanboys are all going to lose... I do have a very expensive PC by the way. This is not about
PCs this is about hundreds of dollars on a console that was shorted on memory, and GPU....Enjoy your 500 dollars down the drain boys. I will sell this Xbox One if it does not get better.

You don't need 64MB of ESram its not there to store textures, read the DX12 stuff and tiled resources so you understand what your trying to argue against.

Someone buys a PS4 because they say the games look so much better than they do on XB1, yet they have a "very expensive PC" which most agree, the games look better on than either console so why the need to buy a PS4, especially when they have said .. "They
hate Sony/PS4" ... and ... "I don't like PS4" .. of course it might be for PS4 exclusive titles? if that's the case, where does the "hate" and "don't like" come from?

I own a high end PC rig and numerous people on here can vouch for the fact that I own both a One and PS4. All three are set up with the ability to run on my 60 in TV.

If your telling me that you can see a difference between cross platform titles on the PS4 and the One your full of it. Only reason we know there is a difference is because people are benchmarking them and telling us there is a difference.

The PC is a different story but that's to be expected.

 

Snow.. in your expertise that you seem to posses, please explain to us how 64 Mb of Esram would be better than the 32?

I think E3 will be very informative… let's put it that way. Having said that we've heard a lot of talk and talk is cheap.
