Um, this is on the publisher not Microsoft. My lord, learn how things work before smashing the company that you are allegedly loyal to.

The publisher tell Microsoft and the Xbox Team what they want the price to be. Microsoft does not have the leverage to cut the price like Amazon does. Or the Publisher can pull the game from the Xbox Store.

Understand that this is a business. And an industry. An industry that is actually hurting. Many Publishers, and Developers are going out of business because of "used" game sales. While I agree that it is "our" game, and we can do what we wish with it.
I trade in games all of the time. But I always buy games new.

I think the prices should be a tad lower, but I love gaming more than I dislike the prices. I will continue to purchase games from the Xbox Store because I like games, I care about the quality Publishers like Square Enix for example. Who is hurting, but
bring me solid games such as Sleeping Dogs, Tomb Raider, Hitman, Murdered Soul Suspect was a solid game (in my opinion) and I enjoyed it.

It's not just up to the publisher. Steam just within the last year has allowed publishers/developers to set their own prices and sales for whatever period they like. Sales impact Valve's and Microsoft' s pocket books.

Microsoft just like Steam has negotiated revenue splits which in the case of Steam the amount is a tightly held secret. So when developers put their digital games on sale for the 360/One Microsoft is a position to lose or gain money.

So if you have a game that's not selling then by knocking 50% off then in theory everyone should win. On the other hand reducing the price of a game when it's selling at the non-sale price is a where you'll see the conflict between distributer and publisher.
The publisher may want/need a quick influx of cash but MS may choose to wait or not want it discounted as much as the publisher.

There are discounts every weeks....on good games (my taste).

I bought Thief,Tomb Raider half price + some DLC with a discount...

I don't see any problem with Xbox one marketplace.

And don't forget gaming is an expensive hobby.

Maybe boycott gaming and find another hobby.

Gamerscore means nothing except you go got achievements, I played COD for years never got any achievements because they are all on the campaign and I only played MP.

Ms have put things in place to make digital worth while, and long may it continue.

Microsoft doesn't necessarily set the digital price. That's something between MS and the publisher.

This rant is spoken like someone who doesn't know why digital pricing may be higher than brick and mortar pricing. Maybe do some research?

I just bought Lego Batman 2 and Mortal Kombat vs DCU from the 360 store for 5 bucks each.

MS's pricing model has improved drastically over the last year for games on demand on the 360, I'm sure the One will follow when the library is larger.

Ive stopped supporting my local shops because they support game trading which is more of a curse on the gaming industry. I'll continue to purchase Digital thanks.
