If you want to do Alchemy the get the Zmorthal house Windsrtad Manor. You can build a fish hatchery and farm fish as well as plant ingrediants. You get 4 or 5 ingrediants from each plant in your garden and you need only one of each fish you plan to use to
get more fish. Just don't forget to put one back if you take them all.

I've noticed when I'm there, if turn to the right after exiting the house, looking adjacent to the fish pond there are at least ten torch bugs. Just hovering down near the water. Usually too high to reach but if you hit them with the first word of "fire
breath", everyone of them drops to the ground, dead. They are there for me every time I go there.

 

Good tip. I was fooling around last night and managed to bring down one of the hawks circling above Lakeview. Surprised me, as I assumed they were just for decoration.

 

Meanie! They provide alchemy ingredients but I love to watch them soar. I don't use the feathers. Their nest is on your roof, you know.

 

I shot one with my bow once way up in the mountains of the Reach. I wasn't sure it could be done either. It was actually sitting on a nest I wanted to harvest and also I wasn't sure it would fly away, which it did.

I only did it once to see if it could actually be done and I never found the bird, a Draugr Deathlord shouted me off the mountain as soon as I picked up the egg from the nest. lol

Thank you so much for telling me about the fish. I now got like 40+ river betty's. My poisons is very deadly now.

I got two gardens from both my houses, and I got a green room in one of them. I would pick both gardens, pick the green room, pick the fish, sleep for 24 hours and repeat.

I got me some dangerous stuff now yo.

I'm carrying like 50 pounds worth of poisons on me. My base damage is weak sauce, but my poisons do all the work for me.

I see out of all the potion effects, there's usually one particular ingredient thats more potent than the rest. I found a couple more ingredients that seems to give better results than with other ingredients.

 

Oh man, I forgot to tell y'all this too.

Since the character Im using now is so heavy into the alchemy tree, and seeing all these ingredients that bolster magik, I loaded up my mage character and made some potions and poisons with that character and the results were quite startling.

What I did was use a destruction potion that increased my destruction spells by 80% then I used a poison on my enemy with a bow, that made them weak to fire damage by 56% and wit the perks that increase fire spells by 50%, that starting fire spell(flames)
wrecked HAVOC on a troll.

And this was on master difficulty.

It was doing something like 20+ damage per second and that was just with the destruction damage potion alone. with the weakness, it must of been like close to 30 something, and I was blasting em with one from each hand, I didn't even dual cast it. So that
doubled my damage again………man I love this stuff, number crunching and damage stacking and all these techniques and stuff. Man I love RPG's for this stuff.
