Lego Marvel crashing back to home screen

It would appear that my boys arent the only ones experiencing the problem where the game returns back to the home screen whenever they try and access a vehicle from the blue terminals.

They got the console and game for xmas and has been working fine until yesterday when this problem started happening all of a sudden.

I have completely shut down the console as recommended in a few posts but the problem is still occuring.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the next solution to try? If I do uninstall will all the save data be lost as well? Or is there another work around?

if an error exists on multiple plattforms with exactly the same symptoms (enter a vehicle, game freezes) you want to stick to the Plattform Service Provider rather the System developer for help?

mister quimby posted his Standard Troubleshooting you can apply to all freezing issues. this is not specific to this game and im very sorry, but if you use your old thread you have your solution: dont use a car or delete the dlc

this is no Installation error, this is no download error, this is a game file error and responsibility is with the developer. Microsoft can not patch games that are not published by Microsoft.

Is your console in Energy-Saving mode or Instant on ?

 

Instant on I think. Nothing has been changed on it since it was working fine to starting to drop out though.

 

I am still having the same problem. I have done the full reboot of the xbox and no luck. I uninstalled the game and using a brand new game disk reinstalled the game and it still drops out to the main window whenever you attempt to spawn a vehicle.

I guess all I can try now is have the kids start a fresh save and go from the start and see if it still does it with a new save game.

Well I have tried logging in under a different person and they are able to spawn vehicles without crashing.

Im guessing the saved game is corrupted. Sorry boys, looks like your starting again

 

I would try unplugging the Xbox for about 30 seconds and then try booting it back up again

 

I am having the same problem. Would like to know how this problem can be fixed. The problem only occurs when selecting a vehicle. Did the unplugging for 30 seconds and problem continues.

I have this issue, and in my case I know how to resolve it....sort of.

So my game has been running fine since I bought it (digital download), I had the super pack. After I got the latest xb1 update it started crashing to dashboard whenever I tried to access the vehicle selection screen of the shield spawners.

I removed the main game, reset the xbox and cleared cache (holding power light down for 15 secs..) and reinstalled. However the problem was still there.

So today I removed the main game AND the dlc. Reset xb1 again, upon reinstalling main game only, all the vehicles I had unlocked (almost all of them) now worked.

I then reinstalled the super pack, when I loaded the game, only the super pack vehicles were available, nothing else. I reset the xbox again, this time when I loaded the game the original problem returned. When I remove the dlc, all vehicles are available
again. I tried buying the Asgard pack today, did not install the super pack, and again the original problem returns until I remove any dlc.

Weird.

I'm very loathe to reset my xb1 to default due to a few digital games I have.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking of doing this:

1. Remove main game AND dlc.

2. Clear local saved games

3. Reset xbox and clear cache

4. Reinstall main game - test

5. Reinstall 1 dlc - test - if successful install 2nd dlc.

I had emailed travellers takes today before I discovered the workaround of removing dlc, but I think I will await any reply (not holding my breath) for a couple of days before I chase them.
