lego dimensions, do you need xbox live account?

Hi all

Had a free trial on the xbox live account but decided that didn't need it as youngest just plays Disney infinity and now lego dimensions. Cant do the update on the lego dimensions new worlds, do I need to have xbox live account?? Thanks alot

XBOX Live connection in Lego Dimensions

Got my boys new characters for Lego dimensions, but the pad isn't recognizing them. I start by signing in to xbox live then lego dimensions, then It tells me to add an update to my que, when I do that I get a message that another update is needed and I need
to be signed in to exbox live. So I say sign me in and it says it can't and to check my connection. I then check my connection, which takes me out of the game, connection is fine and once again I'm signed in to xbox live. Then I sign in to lego dimensions
and the whole process starts again. What is going on?????

Please can anyone help??

Backwards compatability is a joke

I bought my new Xbox one S console from Smyth Toys and was told it has backward compatability for Xbox 360 games. What a load of rubbish. My son has 12 games: Lego Dimensions, Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7, Lego Star Wars III, Lego Jurassic World, Lego
Bathman 3, Lego Marvel Avengers, Lego Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Tiger Woods Golf, Minecraft Storymode, Minecraft and Lego Dimensions and non of them have backward compatability!!!

This is absolutely ridiculous especially Lego Dimensions which is only 12 months old and cost me £45.

This is not on Microsoft you are trying to rip us all off buy making us buy new xbox one versions!

These are really popular games for kids to you need to sort this out.

I'm having the same problem with my 7 year old sons Lego dimensions - he is unable to play on any of the level games as we can't download the content? Does he need Xbox live?

you need an Xbox one Lego dimensions pad, even if you download the software

The game is delisted and you will have to acquire a disk

Hello. It seems that this Lego Dimension Pack is meant for the Xbox 360, and is not backwards compatible to work on the Xbox one. Basically because you need the attachments to play it. It would be worthless to purchase digitally without them.

To add to what Smwutches said so it's a bit more clear, the game is not available digitally and the link is merely a placeholder to say it's available for Xbox One. The following link should give you an idea of what it is you need to start this game on Xbox
