Legendary edition won't work

I already had the second expansion pack but seeing i needed the first one i decided to just buy the legendary edition to get the darkness below and the taken king. But after it was downloaded and paid for i still cannot play either the taken king or the
darkness below. i have tried everything i saw on the support pages and nothing has worked. im debating on trying to get my money back and going and getting halo 5. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Will the Skyrim Legendary Edition DLC work with the original Skyrim disc?

I bought the Legendary Edition and I was wondering if when the DLC is installed will it work with the original Skyrim or just the Legendary Edition?

Just wondering if the legendary edition physical expansions will work with the digital skyrim download.

 

seems like I'm having the same problem. I have the "vanilla" / original disc-release and hadn't previously purchased any dlc; as of this posting I have all required updates. The character I'm using is level 34.

I just purchased the Legendary edition via the in-game method ("Select a Destination", then select Taken King More Info, then "Purchase" underneath the Legendary edition), it downloaded successfully (45MB), I logged out of Destiny, exited to the Dashboard
via the Guide button, & checked the "Destiny" contents of my HDD and there's no listing for anything like "Legendary". when I start the game & try to access Any of the expansion content (via Select A Destination) it still says "<insert name of expansion>
required" and has the "A for More Info" prompt. I've shutdown my console & tried again from a fresh sign-in but symptoms are the same.

I've re-downloaded the Legendary content via my Download History, but that hasn't helped. I'm inclined to think there's a problem w/ the Legendary "file", if it's not showing up on my HDD. regardless, I just dropped $60 and, essentially, have nothing to
show for it. if Someone who is Actually "In The Know" / has Actual Authority could help, I would be Very grateful. It's not that I don't want other player's help, it's that I want a Real Solution ASAP, not well-intentioned guessing.

I've found the "Legendary Edition" file. it's NOT in the Destiny section of my HDD/Games; It's In It's Own Game Listing Titled "Legendary Edition", w/ the box-art of the Legendary Edition as it's icon. seems pretty clear that when I launch Destiny it's
not going to "see" the Legendary content / expansions if it isn't "considered" a component of Destiny.

if this issue is too "technical" to be in this section of the Forums, would a Moderator PLEASE say so ASAP. I'll gladly start a new thread elsewhere, but I don't want to prematurely re-post and possibly confuse things.

also, since text doesn't allow for intonation: Please believe me when I say I'm all about working with not against whomever can & will help get this resolved. I'm Definitely p*****d-off about this, but I'm not going to rail against anyone trying to help.

I just realized that the 46MB Legendary Edition file is a game listing in My Games. By launching that, I can download all the included content.

I'm not sure if I Have To download the included full game of Destiny OR if I can get away w/ downloading just the DLC stuff; but to be safe, I'm downloading the included full game.

I'll update this thread if necessary, but right now it seems like I'm on the right path at least.
