Legacy of kain/soul reaver

does anyone know if there going to make a new one? I got an email about that nosgoth game for pc, and heard they might bring it to console but I want an in depth story to play not a free mmo. Who would like to see a new game from this series?

I honestly hated Soul Reaver. Blood Omen - Legacy of Kain was the only good game in the series. Soul Reaver was too much like a platformer for my taste.

 

Remember some rumours floating about a while ago about a new Kain/Soul Reaver game but not heard anything since.

Would be good though,i enjoyed them games,especially Soul Reaver.

I heard rumours too, but I'm talking years ago now.

I'd also like to see the old ones brought back to life as it's been so long since I played them. I feel like we were left on somewhat of a cliff-hanger, though can't really remember now, haha.

 

I can't even remember the stories of those games at all. It's been too long. If they were gonna come back, I'd rather see a reboot than a remake.

 

The ending of defiance goes like this I think. Raziel sacrifices himself to the reaver, the elder god is revealed to kain he fights the elder god and the looks on to nosgoth.

 

Oh man, shows how out of touch I am, I thought we were still at Soul Reaver 2. I just watched the ending to number 2 and it blew my mind because I actually remember the first game pretty well, having played it numerous times. I forgot how awesome the story
is though!

I just read a little about defiance and I would love to play that, sounds awesome using both Kain and Raziel! Though, don't think I'll ever have the chance if it's not on the Xbox. =(

I've only played them on the Dreamcast or at least I think it was the Dreamcast. Soul Reaver 2 is what I remember. It was good.

 

Great games....

A modern Legacy of Kain could be like a Witcher or Elder Scrolls game,why not.But really needs a great story and gameplay.

Soul Reaver,i don't know.Action/adventure/platform would be nice but with new up to date gameplay.

Really don't know,if the one (Cristal Dynamics?Eidos?) who own the franchise wants to reboot it or make sequels.With one generation (2005-2013),without any word.Would be surprising to see it coming back.

There was a 6th game (Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun) but it was cancelled in 2012. The online game, Nosgoth, was so so, decent if you were a fan, but lacking the original series panache. Unfortunately however, it's being deactivated 5.31.2016. Not much hope
for another installment I'm afraid. This series was absolutely amazing! One of my top 5, and I've been around gaming since the Atari 2600
