    left trigger stuck


    new out of the box system, set it up and went to redeam the code for a game packaged with the system. the page to redem the codes keyboard came and and was flipping betweeb numbers and letters.....the left trigger was malfunctioning, this was less than ten
    minutes out of the box. the problem did not seem to affect anything else, unless there was a keyboard displayed...until i went to play fifa. any ideas on an easy fix? or is this a send it in type problem?

    Xbox controller left trigger sticks

    My left controller trigger stuck more "logically" than physically. The trigger appeared ok but when you tried to do anything it was like it was stuck down. Had to take it back.

    And yes that was a Day One Controller.

    Update your controller using the following instructions:
    forums.xbox.com/.../1734855.aspx

    when you do a hard reset remove all batteries and usb cable and hold on the power button on the controller for a minute to drain all residual electricity in the controller, then plug the battery back in, try also brand new AA batteries, if that doesn't help
    something might be broken or missing physically inside the controller, don't try to fix it, send it back it for a replacement should be under warranty.

    I've got the same issue left trigger not stuck. But acts like it is stuck down permanently. you have to press the A button fast for it to register. and if you sent a message it just flicks between ABC & Symbols constant. Day One Controller.

    Sounds like it could be a hardware issue with the controller and the way it is being registered with the console. You'll likely have to send it in for service.
