Left Toggle & Replacement - Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2

Hello, I got the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 for Christmas and I have been using it the past couple of weeks, mainly playing Halo Infinite, and I have noticed that the left toggle seems off. The left toggle click doesn't feel right compared to the right toggle and the toggles on my normal Xbox Series X controller, and it is not because of the tension or thumbstick in use. I am worried that something might be wrong with it and I might have to send my controller to Microsoft to be fixed, but I have read many stories online about people sending their controllers in and getting controllers back that are just as bad, worse, and/or clearly used.

What is all of your experiences with sending controllers into Microsoft to be fixed? And when you got a controller back from Microsoft, was it the same controller, a refurbished one, or a brand new one? What would you recommend that I do?

Sorry to hear your Elite Series 2 controller is having issues.

You can check for some troubleshooting tips here: Troubleshoot your Xbox Wireless Controller | Xbox Support

If there is a hardware problem with your controller that cannot be resolved by troubleshooting, you may need to replace your controller. To begin:

Go to account.microsoft.com/devices
Find your Xbox Elite Series 2 controller and click on it
Scroll down and click Start Order
Confirm the serial number and choose Device and follow the rest of the steps.

I've had to send in my Elite Series 2 controller as well. If your replacement also has issues and you need to send it in again, although not ideal you can follow the same steps.

The Elite Series 2 controller has a 1 year warranty.

If your controller isn’t working and needs replacing, go to https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/controller/controller-warranty and
enter the controller’s serial number at the bottom of that page. For the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, the 14-character serial number is in the lower centre on the back of the controller.
