    Let me start by saying this control has been subject to water damage. It was an accident but leaving it to dry seemed to clear up any issues.

    Since then I've had no problems, until now. The control functions well, but the left thumbstick has been bugging me for about 2 days now. It seems to get stuck ever so slightly upward. So for example: In Destiny, I put my control down and my character started
    moving forward. It's not a major issue but it's super annoying.

    Looking at it, I can't see it stuck in a particular direction. It looks completely centered but in-game I'll begin moving forward ever so slightly and eventually completely if I don't stop it.

    Unfortunately, I tried to see if perhaps I could send it in as I have warranty on my console but, the serial number is unreadable due to the water damage. Take a look:

    Xbox One Controller Left Thumbstick Issues

    Hey there buddy,

    All you need to do is log on to
    devicesupport.microsoft.com     and register your console if you haven't already.

    Once your console is registered, select replace an accessory and go from there. The service centre for your part of the world is in the Czech Republic, but you'll get a shipping label to ship it off with.

    Hey mrPaLeRyderX, I actually got this figured out and it turns out it had nothing to do with water damage.

    I hit up support because I was fed up with the controller, I could no longer play anything as the thumbstick was basically moving itself. They were very understanding and we agreed to having me send my controller in and receiving a replacement.

    I believe I sent my controller on the 19th of October and I got my replacement on the 1st of November, so it was definitely a wait. Thankfully I received it before MCC and GTAV dropped.

    I'd suggest doing the same, talk to support and explain that the controller's thumbstick appears to be centered completely fine but it is simply moving forward without any physical action. The sooner you do this, the sooner you'll get your controller back.

    I'm afraid the controller warranty does not cover physical damage so Microsoft will not take it for repair or replacement except you're paying for the service. I'm sorry to be the bearer of sad news.

    Left Thumbstick Issue

    I now have 2 controllers that have developed this creeping forwards of the left thumbstick issue.

    It has made playing The Golf Club almost impossible as each time i try to line up a putt, before i know it im aiming 80ft longer than i wish to be putting. For me, this issue seemed to have gotten much worse the last time it suggested i update my controllers.
    As both of my controllers are very clean and in great condition this is not a problem caused by me. What are my options???
