Left thumb aching after long periods. ( Stick indent)

This is becomming a huge problem the more I play a shooter like BF4, which requires me to constantly be clicking down and pushing forward on the left stick. The grip around the indentation pushes into my thumb, leaving it red and sore. Is anyone else having
this problem? I think it's a huge design flaw to be fair. Never had a prob;lem with the 360 controller

    :)

Have you tried changing the in game settings to use a different button? There are also 3rd party accessories like Kontrol Freeks that are really awesome with FPS games!
