left / right volume balance on accessibility settings

Your solution depends on what you are using to connect the headset to your controller.

Firstly - regardless of which set up you are using, make sure you have updated your controller with the latest updates.

Now...

If you are using the "Headset Adapter" then the buttons on the right hand side control your volume settings. The buttons on the left control the Game Volume to Chat Volume ratio. If you don't have this set up correctly you may not be getting the right
volume for your game or your chat. Try pushing on the chat volume button (bottom left) until the game volume dissapears completely. Then push the game volume (top left) up one so you hear the game sound... then adjust the chat volume using the controls on
the right hand side. Once that's comfortable... hit the game volume button (top left) until it's a comfortable game/voice balance.

If you don't have a headset adaptor and are instead using the 3.55mm jack directly in your controller (only newer models of the controller have this) then you can go to the dashboard, hit "left" on the D pad, scroll down to "Settings" and you have volume
sliders available to customise as whatever works best for you.

That's how you sort your volume out.

1. Are you getting any error codes on your problem? What is the connection test telling you? Have you configured any Portforwardings or DMZ for the wireless connection? If so, you need to reconfigure them, as wired and wireless connection use different ip
addresses.

2. The buttons on the left side are to control the balance between party chat and ingame sound, the buttons on the right are overall volume control. So you have first to setup the balance between the two sources with the left buttons and then you can use
the right ones to increase our decrease the volume for both sources together.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have a question on headsets and game volume. Almost all should allow game volume through the headset. When you have a headset plugged in, you want to go to audio its right under where you access settings.
The middle bar is chat mixer, more to the left is game and to the right is chat.

@ghostz Make sure you pressed the chat button on the adapter till you hear people not just the volume on the right. You have to balance chat and game volume with the buttons on the left. If its an old headset you bought the adapter for just press the chat
button till you hear the beap. If that doesn't work not sure.

Do this for me....in general the stereo adapter has master volume on the right and game/chat volume controls on the left of the adapter.

Please press the bottom left button four or five times.

-This should lower the game volume and raise the chat volume.

-Part 2 is to go into Destiny settings and ensure that you have turned on chat headset /speaker or both.
