    Hello, my controller is having a few issues with the left joystick. The first problem is that when I'm in either the Xbox home page or in any other Xbox "interfaces" or apps, a single input either on the d-pad or in one direction with the joystick is turned into 2-5 inputs. The second issue is when I went into games, none of the aforementioned problems were happening. the issue is that I can longer use L3 to say, sprint. I have went into the Xbox accessories app and tried to update the controller multiple times, I have also fully power cycled the controller twice for 5 mins each and nothing had happened. I've been trying to find people with the same problem but people have only had a few of these issues at once, and not all of them. This controller also hasn't been abused at all, and I've had the console for about a month and a half. If there is someone that can help me with my problem based off of just this post alone that would be great. I am also very willing to give more information/be walked through a set of actions to resolve this. Hopefully this reaches other people out there with the same problem and thank you for taking your time to read this and help me out.

    Factory reseting my system ended up working and I am very grateful for the advice. I honestly didn't think the "turn it off and on will work" would work and lo and behold it did. I appreciate it Nilay, and thank you to the leprechaun sitting on my shoulder.

    Well, since this happens with 3 different controllers on 3 different consoles, this might be a bug. If the 3 controllers are updated and you already power reset and factory reset all consoles and the issue persists, I would suggest you to report it to the Xbox team:

    But please try to factory reset your console (keeping games and apps) before reporting it to make sure.

    I have the Microsoft Xbox Controller - Robot White, my friend and brother both have different versions of the Xbox controller, one has a custom made controller that has the same problem. And yes, this only occurs in the menu for my Xbox, same with my friend and brother.
