Left analogue stick click not working and dashboard taking a while to respond.

I was playing farcry last night and upon starting a new round in the arena, I was unable to sprint. I thought that was weird, then discovered the same thing was happening on destiny and titanfall. So I thought great, my controllers broken. Well when I go
to dashboard and come back to the game, the sprint button works but only for a split second, and then goes back to being unresponsive. Also when I'm on the dashboard and press a on any game or app, the a little animation of a black border around the app shows
up but then nothing happens, and I have to tap the a button 10-20 times before the app/game starts up. Other than these two things there aren't any other problems as far as I can tell. Oh yeah and it was vibrating sporadically for no reason a couple of days
ago but only on sunset overdrive and has since stopped. I've unplugged my xbox, held the power button for 10 seconds, replaced the batteries in my controller, unsynced and resynced the controller, and updated the controller in many different orders and haven't
had any success. The only thing I haven't yet tried is another controller, but I will tonight when my buddy gets off work and brings his over. Please tell me that someone has gone through this before and knows how to fix it!

Hello

Try to perform a powercycle it should fix the issue. You can do this by holding down the powerbutton on your console for about 10 seconds untill it turns off (keep holding the button). After that take out the powercable and wait 15 seconds. Plug it back
in and restart your console and check if the dashboard works again and your controller.

Then please let me know if it works or not

Thanks for taking the time to reply anyways. Just tried another power cycle but it was unsuccessful. Still haven't gotten the chance to try another controller yet unfortunately. Will update when I do

A button or a port on your wireless controller partially works or doesn’t work at all

If you have another Xbox One Wireless Controller, use it to reproduce what you were trying to do with the original controller.

If you experience the same problem using the second wireless controller, the problem is probably with the app or game you’re using. Consult the troubleshooting information for that app or game.

If you don’t experience the same problem using the second wireless controller, then your current controller needs to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the

So like you said there isn't much you can do unless you can try another controller
