    Hi, for about a month I have a problem with the xbox series x pad (I play on pc), more specifically the left analog - when I move the analog up, the character goes, but if I let go, it continues to go (about 20 sec) This happens in all games.

    I just want to clarify, you're having an issue with the Xbox series controller's left thumbstick, specifically, it continues to drift upward for about 20 seconds after you move it up, is that correct?

    Kindly try to update your Xbox controller firmware:

    Update your controller on Windows 10/11 by using the Xbox Accessories app:

    If you don’t already have the app installed, get it in the Store:

    Open the Xbox Accessories app.

    Connect your Xbox Wireless Controller by using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.

    When the controller is connected, you'll see the message Update Required if an update is mandatory. Install the update.

    Things to keep in mind

    The Xbox Accessories app is available only on Windows 10/11.

    Updating the controller over Bluetooth is not supported.

    I've been using my pad for several years now, no warranty anymore. I read on the internet that it is something like drifting analog (is there any way to do that?)

    There seems to have an internal issue on your controller's left thumbstick. I would highly recommend you request a free Xbox controller warranty replacement order if it is eligible by signing your account and registering the controller serial number using this link:

    That is correct, it may have problems with the internal analog mechanism however I would like to let you know that here in the forums, no one is able to provide assistance for self-repair to an Xbox console or Xbox controller.
