My right stick is drifting up and a little to the right. It feels and looks fine, and doesn't seem to be sticking. It's like it needs to be recalibrated. I have tried mashing it around, completely restarted my xbox, new batteries, tried sync again, even
blown around it with compressed air. Still not working. At the home screen you can't select anything wit the A button until you flick the right stick a bit, otherwise it won't register because it thinks you are holding that right stick up. In Cod ghosts it
means it's always pulling your aim up into the air. Going to take it into the shop, but I'm not happy because I wanted to keep the day one edition.

    :)

I am having a problem with both of my Xbox one controllers, the left analog stick drfits by itself which makes it impossible to play. Can MS replace my controllers or fix them?

Im not greatly impressed with the xbox one controler either, the day one my daughter uses so not much wear and tear there.

    -

,the second came from a department store and the left anolouge whent in 5 days,

,the 3rd and my current one is from game and it is miles better than the previous 2, reactions, plug n play battery life between reacharges, triggers and bumpers more reactive, the sticks feeel more durable.

    -

This tells me that a certain amount of controllers were rushed and not fully tested simple as that, not impressed but it wont be long befor razor make one,ive never rated any xbox controllers compaired to professional ones, and not dogdy ones that you get
off the internet.look up the razor sabertooth for example and you,ll see how many ideas from that are on the xbox one controller.

  5. And sz to double, just an idea, its worked for me,when not playing keep your controllers in the box it came in,its amazing how much dust they can get in them, which ruins the whole thing with this drifting.

I believe i'm experiencing the same issue. I was playing Forza Motorsport 5 and pressing the left thumb stick right, seemed fine, but when pressing left on the thumb stick my car would swerve as is the sensitivity was on full.

No problems with mine yet, I do expect this at some point though. Every 360 controller I have/had ended up doing this, it normally started between the 6 and 9 month mark. I'd like to think the X1 controller would last at least the same amount of time.

  9. Hey Spinergy,

Just wanted to give you a warning about sending the controller back. One is they don't actually fix the controller: they just send you a new one. Moreover, whatever issues you had on the previous controller will happen again and again and it's a never ending
cycle of the controller becoming unusable because of the faulty design. Also, it takes about two months on average for your controller to come back in the mail which is rather surprising as all they did was send you a new controller. Also, you have to pay
for the shipping of your controller not Microsoft. Finally, whatever complaint you send along with your broken controller will not be investigated trust me. Please whatever you do don't call or chat message on the a Microsoft support as they are from the Philippines,
do not have the xbox one and you can barely understand their run on sentences. To give you some examples of how the service with Microsoft support the guy kept saying he or none of his department ever heard of this left analog stick issue even though it's
posted all over their forums. Worst was when I sent him the link to the forums and instead of actually looking at the left analog issues on the Xbox support form he kept asking how my holiday was going haha. This would go on for two hours as it was literally
like talking to a wall. What they do is they don't answer for five minutes on each question you ask hoping you'll leave the chat or hang up. Then when they finally come back on they just say how sorry they are and want this issue resolved and then it comes
back to sending your controller back and them sending you a new one that will just break on. As of right now, the controllers being sold out there for xbox one are extremely terrible for sports games. I have NBA 2k15 and have gone through ten controllers in
three weeks. For the six years I had xbox 360 I only went through two controllers. It's laughable at this point. Because the controllers will keep breaking I'm actually going to buy a ps4 in the meantime until Microsoft does a recall on the controllers. I'm
hoping with the holiday season coming up that more and more people especially their retailers will call Microsoft to compain about the faulty design. You are better off buying an xbox one controller at target or best buy. At least you will get a full refund,
get another new controller and not have to pay a fee. Hope this helps.

Hmm strange I've had the same 2 controllers since November 2013 and both still work. Why do people bring back old posts? Why not start a different one?

I can attest to my faulty controller which has left thumb stick drift also. I noticed it when players would be moving without me controlling them. Also when making selection the teams would spin like slot machine until I twitched the thumb stick to release
the spin. At first I thought it was firmware on the joy stick itself but it happens every now and then so I concluded that it was sticking in up position. I can live with this but I have a day one joystick and will eventualy put this one away for keepsake.
My only hope is that the joy sticks I will purchase in future will be of better quality and be available in more color or style variety.

Mister Quimby, I am having the same drifting problem on my controller that I've had for about 10mos and out of the RIDICULOUSLY SHORT 3mos. warranty. What decent product and company won't provide 1yr?!?

I tried the troubleshooting steps above and they did not correct the drift.

Judging by claims of all these XBox One supporters, it seems Microsoft should do something significant to correct the problem and return the support as it's CLEARLY a design/manufacturing FLAW. I am EXTREMELY hesitant to buy another controller as I now
expect that to break in 6-12mos and buying a new controller 1-2X/yr is simply unacceptable. I switched from PS3 to XBox One and judging by the quality experienced so far, I am now expecting the XBox One to DIE right after the 12mos warranty, which will prompt
me to go to PS4, so I don't see the point in supporting Microsoft with another controller or game purchases.

Besides your 'troubleshooting tips', which don't seem to work for ANYONE on this forum, what can you do for us?!?!?

I have had my Xbox one for over a year and I noticed that in D3 and reaper of souls I began to drift forward when I would stand still I would turn around and walk into a wall or what ever. Everything else works fine except for the left analog stick.

This happens when I am in inventory as well. I just barely move stick up and it will go to the top barely move it down it will go to bottom won't go in between. Left right is fine just up and down. There is no popping or clicking or anything like that. It
is just really dirty really bad along the edges is jam packed with stuff. Blew air and don't move.

I think the sensors or whatever may be clogged with stuff on the inside but I'm no sure.

So sick of this got XBOX ONE for Christmas only had it for 2 1/2 months how do you have 5 broken xbox one controllers in that short time and its the left analog thumb stick everytime. It cant handle Madden I played Madden on the xbox 360 and didnt have this
problem. Went on a forum that everyone was complaining about the same problem I am having but that forum is locked now. Are they going to make a better controller? Seems to me they should thats 60.00 a pop for them to be made so poorly.
