Leaving xbox gold (minor rant ahead)

One day I decided to try xbox 360 since so many people say its good and always seem to mention xbox 360 first before any other console. don't get me wrong, I like the xbox 360, however, being randomly disconnected from xbox live when I play an online public
match in just about all of my online games that I have/had (cod bo2,cod ghosts,world of tanks) halo reach is unknown at this time as the matchmaking is stupidly slow (but that's another story) and I have internet specs that well exceeds the minimum requirements
on the xbox site). as of 01/27/2015 now xbox live disconnects when I attempt to play online multiplayer on cod ghosts. I promiss you that if you look on the status page for xbox live and other xbox live services there'll be at least one thing listed either
as limited or matchmaking not working on either both xbox 360 or xbox one or one of the other at least once per day. I expected WAY more than this from microsoft. is this really what people are paying money for? this is totally unacceptable for any gaming
system. I am no fanboy, I started on pc low end gaming, until one day I got a ps3 about 4-5 years ago then tried the xbox 360 last year. xbox products, never again until they earn my trust back. the ps3 may be free online play but I plan to suck every little
life that psn has left on it, psn has not failed me nearly as much as xbox live has.

this has been going on ever since I started using gold. I have decided to not renew my gold membership that ends in december

do not try to help me resolve this issue as I've tried with about 3 reps and they all told me to do the same thing even though I gave them the reference number to avoid having to repeat. and one rep told me something that is a bit odd, assuring me
that my problem will be resolved by using the troubleshooting, I've never seen/heard a company saying such a thing, I'm sure it has happened but I've pretty much given up trying.

When you signed up to LIVE, did you register your console using your real name and address details?

I cant work you out Strange, you rant about games to then go ahead and buy them anyway and rant some more. You rant about Microsoft and Xbox and how you prefer Sony and the PS3 yet you keep investing in games for the Xbox and yet again you have upgraded
to Gold when you were Silver for a while

Its a basic security check question, no biggy, I can imagine you have your details in full with other companies just fine and dont feel the need to cry about what they might do with your details

 

Finally bought an Xbox One!!

It's unfortunate you've had bad experiences with connectivity and matchmaking with your 360. Hopefully you can find more solice and enjoyment on the PS3. I prefer my 360 and Xbox One, but we're all gamers here just looking to enjoy our games. So I do hope
you can find on the PS3 what you couldn't on the 360 and get back to just having fun.

You`ve not even mentioned about how you have tried to rectify the problem.

What does it show for your NAT type?

Because no matter how fast your internet connection is, if your NAT is showing as either moderate or strict you will have problems with on-line multi-player gaming.

As during the past 5 years of my Gold subscription I have had problems on maybe two or three occasions. And that has been with a particular games dedicated servers. Only once have I not been able to connect to XBL and that was only for one evening.

 

Honestly, what's the point? its like halo, just another mistake that I wont make again. I'm moving on to other options. the xbox 360 is just going to be for offline gaming. but I'm not going to invest a lot of money on it though. I just got off from trying
to play black ops 2, my 3rd match disconnected not even half way through the match. there are other great options other than xbox that doesn't make me wanna pull me hair out and waste my time.

and for future replies please don't try and help me resolve this issue, I am done trying.

 

Like Paraffin suggested you haven't stated what you have/haven't tried. You're taking drastic measures to a problem that could undoubtedly be fixed. I will not comment on any other software/game developer. However, the issue you're having sounds like something
the ambassador program helps to troubleshoot on a daily basis. Although instead of trying to let us know what you've tried so you can get help, you've already decided that there's absolutely nothing that can be done to help you. And you're just too done.

Everyone seems to get so upset that it actually takes some effort to troubleshoot. I am a gamer, as are tons of other people. Learning to have patience is such a great thing in life. It truly is a virtue. Learning how to handle situations is as well. There
are ways to handle things without saying imma just leave xbox since it's not perfect 100% of the time.
