    Leaving Xbox After Many Years


    I was an early adopter of the Xbox One. After all, had Xbox and Xbox 360, so I was excited about the Xbox One.

    Noticed about four months ago my discs not reading. After tweeting to Xbox support - I did their suggestions (power cycle) and it seemed better.

    Now every time I put a disc in - it does the same grinding noise and won't read the disc. Sometimes I can get it to work but usually not.

    Anyway, my warranty expired two months ago and after chatting with support and a phone call to support, they said I need to pay $135.00 for a repair and that repair only has a 90 warranty.

    No thanks Xbox. Go ahead and look how much I've spent over the year in the Xbox store. I'll just go to a competitor product and cancel my Xbox Live service if you insist there is nothing your willing to do.

    I've been a loyal Xbox fan , For 3 YEARS and my live was gold for all the 3 years and my tenure still 1 YEAR even after the update and I've done the clear system it's stil 1 year what I have to do leaving the XBOX LIVE , it's *** IM DONE

    Same thing here bro. My Kinect on Xbox one lost power after three days and I never was able to get it to work. Microsoft knew this was an issue with the Kinect and when I call customer service they said well your over your one year warranty by 37 days and
    our grace period is only thirty days so you will have to pay $90 to replace it. They said that was all they could do. I never used the Kinect for much so I didn't worry about replacing it until my family wanted to use it which I told them. Well now Microsoft
    can lose all that money from the Kinect games I was going to buy and the $500+ a year I spend on other Xbox merchandise every year. All because they wouldn't budge over replacing a Kinect sensor that they know is faulty hardware and only 7 days over the warranty.
    Way to make your customers happy Microsoft.

    you a 90 day warranty.do you think that is a good way to treat loyal Xbox customers?

    Hey guys,

    I know it sucks, but unfortunately that is just the way it is. Microsoft has set a one year warranty, with a 30day grace period and has to stick to that. If they bend the rules for one person, then they have to do it for everyone, they just can't make exceptions

    Hey dude,

    I've heard quite a few people mention it, which is why I said it, although i can't find it confirmed anywhere. I have heard quite a few people on the forums mention it though, which is what has lead me to beleive that it is there.
