    Leave Xboxinsider on Refurb


    Hello,

    How can I leave Xbox Insider on a Machine that came with it enrolled after purchasing from Gamestop as a Refurbished unit.

    Things that are verified that WILL NOT work:

    -Using the Xbox Insider app to unenroll : You must have the Xbox live account that enrolled the device, I do not have this information as it was purchased at a retailer as a refurbished unit with this software already installed.

    -A factory reset DOES NOT remove this enrollment, it is tied to the serial number of the device and is FORCED upon any reset during the "day one" update process.

    please advise the steps to remove a serial number OUT of the Insider Program without having to have the Account Info of the person who enrolled it, and NEGLECTED to remove it before they sold their xbox.

    This worked great after a full factory reset, which assigned the "insider machine" to the account you attach when resetting the machine.

    Unfortunate to have to wipe everything to unenroll, but I guess it's better than nothing.

    Hi,

    You have to launch the insider app on a console ( dont matter which one ) , go to contents, select insider preview, then manage, you will see the serial number of the console enrolled, just select the one you want to remove.
