If I understand the issue, its with your controller and not the console?

You can just send the controller in for service rather than the console and controller:

-start here:
myservice.xbox.com/.../welcome.aspx

click "Replace an Accessory"

yes its just the LB button its not working at all. the rest of the controller actually works just the that one button that does not work.

my friend got 5th pad, cause 4 was broken again. it can be cap or trigger. i got just second for this half of year, 1-st pad broke pretty fast, it was lb button

The LB and RB buttons on my controller have almost completely detached from the controller but thats because i bought my xbox one in 2014.

I have played nearly every day since then, which wears the controller out. believe it though, it was a sad day when i had to store my controller in a cabnet for good.

If you had your controller for a long time, maybe you just used it up or maybe you accidentally dropped it.
