    Lazy or just not used to it?


    With most games now coming out in 1080p, I'm forced to look back at games such as call of duty ghosts and think, were the developers lazy or was it just the new architecture of the Xbox that kept them from hitting the 1080p mark given that the new call of
    duty, which is clearly superior in the graphics area when compared to it's predecessor, is hitting the mark and while running at 60 fps. I look back at all the conversations that we all had about this subject and wander. Was it Microsoft not having the right
    tools for the devs, difficulty with the new system, time, or just laziness that caused these ealier misgivings we all had. I mean clearly the Xbox one is more than capable as we are seeing in the new line of games coming out.

    Please guys. No comparisons to the PS4. I'm talking purely about the Xbox only.

    boosting or just lazy?

    Sorry but in my opinion this is not boosting and is just a way of using a tactical device to gain points. It's a bit like calling everyday campers who sit next to their portable radar boosters...

    If you are on such a 'l33T' team and need to win so bad why don't you just set up this situation yourself and get points that way? or don't you have the skill?

    to add to bionics reply why are you enabling this to happen if you wanna consider it boosting then your part to blame

    if i was in your shoes if this was a big deal then i would have moved from the camp spot and find his tac spot or tell a teamate to shoot him before he can lay another tac

    I think it was both. And just the clear thing up befor people post this COD runs at native 1080p butwill down it to natvie 900p to keep a solid 60 FPS.

    I'm sure we will see this more and more as less cross generational titles are released. Ghosts was in development before the X1 was announced wasnt it?

    Didn't the Kinect take away some of the system power? since they've given developers that 10% extra power I think it's now easier for them to hit the 1080p mark.

    A mixture of everything...

    Lack of the correct SDKs

    The reserve set aside for the Kinect

    The new XB1 unknown architecture with the esram

    the rush to get games out in forst 3 months

    the fact we all know the X1 should not have been released until this past summer or this holiday season

    Well I know that all the halos are running 1080p native. And from what I'm hearing the remastered halo 2 looks amazing! Not that the upscalled thing ever bothered me. I was just reading back through some early threads and was amazed how far it's come!

    All consoles go through the learning curve period. Consoles are not built, then sit idle for 18 months while developers build their first games on them. Gen 1 games for just about every console made have the same sorts of problems that Gen 1 games for Xbox
    One have exhibited.

    Ice Games aside... the console as we all know.. was not a 100% fully polished finish product when released. Some controls, missing features and functions...all of this points to the fact they put it out earlier than planned... not so much opinion but
    hands on experience...

    @trooper just to be absolutely clear the minimum Xbox One resolution is 1360x1080, and dynamically scales from there to full 1080p. So it's well above 900p.

    I must say I am amazed how far it's come so fast. Looking at the difference already from the early games to what we are already seeing only a year later is amazing. Even though the game, in my opinion of course, was somewhat lack luster, destiny is undeniably
    beautiful to look at. The lighting especially is amazing. It seems time with the hardware is really paying off!

    I remember how looks early 360 games and how looks games after 2-3 years....Maybe it goes faster to makes better good looking games but i don't think it's question of resolution.

    It's more about textures,lightning effects,stuffs like that....And Ryse,Forza 5,Dead Rising 3,Titanfall still looks great.

    But it's also true that Forza 5 engine really shine this year with Horizon 2.

    Can't wait to see Unreal 4 engine with Fable Legends and Gears of war.
