Launching Halo Wars 2 on PC forces Bluetooth headphones into transparency mode

We understand that you are trying to use a headset with a transparency mode while playing Xbox games. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

Based on your description, this only happens to mostly games from Xbox app and not from other platform. Let's go ahead and investigate it. We would like to ask you series of questions in order for us to provide you with the assistance you require.

1. May we confirm that this issue will not happen if you are using a regular headphones?
   
2. Seems like that headphone has a great feature and if the games on Xbox cannot play well for this type of headset then we would like to ask for a screen recording of the issue. Please submit it through Private Message (Private Messages) or going into your profile (Sam Hallett-Rorke) and look for View Private Messages.
   
3. May we ask for the list of games in each platform that you have tested with audio issue?
   
4. Also, we would like to ask the list of games in each platform that you have tested without audio issue.

Hello Kathy,

Apologies for the delayed response. I have had some trouble taking a screen recording using OBS, it was also making my headphones to go into transparency mode. I solved that issue by disabling the built-in microphone on the headphones, by going into the sound control panel. This has had no affect on the same issue with other apps, unfortunately.

To answer your questions:

1) I have no trouble with wired headphones, or my pair of Bluetooth earbuds.

2) A screen recording will be sent privately.

3) I've tested all of the other games in my library; This consists of Steam, Battle.net, Epic Games and Xbox. None of them consistently cause this issue. It is only Halo Wars 2.

Looks like we only have this issue on specific game only in that case, we can refer you to the support or developer of this game - Halo Support and have them specifically take a closer look for this concern.
