    Launcher not keeping log in details.


    I have spent the better part of 2 days playing with Privacy Settings, Microsoft Account settings and various Minecraft Launchers. THERE IS NO HELP on the MINECRAFT sites.

    After a fresh Windows 10 Pro install. I thought I'd give the Microsoft Store Minecraft Launcher a go. Well *BEEEP* Microsoft..... another thing you touched has been ruined.

    No matter what I do, The Microsoft Store Minecraft Launcher just Grey Screens indefinalty 9/10 times. Gave up trying to work with it at all.

    I downloaded the the windows 7/8 Launcher from the Minecraft webpage. This doesnt grey screen, BUT...

    EVERYTIME I start the launcher, I get this message "Sorry! We were unable to get your account information. Please restart your launcher."

    And I have to Login with my "Windows" account and password. This is beyond silly. And unworkable.

    I have young kids who i do not want t;

    A) know the password, and

    B) have to enter my details every damn time it loads.

    Worse. If the internet is out (NBN SUCKS). then I CANNOT play the game I PAID FOR!

    HOW can I fix this? There is NO button anywhere allowing me to select "Keep Me Logged In" or alike.

    Hello AdzaReddust87. have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 21H2, because recently came out the latest update to Windows 10 and 11.

    Updates often seen as optional, Microsoft released major fixes this week, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed.

    If you haven't updated yet, click the link below, update and then make all subsequent security updates.

    Also make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and try sometimes it is necessary to create a local user on the PC for the launcher to work.

    Thank you so much for the detailed information. Kindly uninstall and reinstall the launcher then log in by clicking "Microsoft Login".

    When I logon to TL Launcher which is a cracked launcher I can log in with my Microsoft account and use my Mojang skin... Thats whats confusing me and yes I know its a cracked launcher but why does it pick up all my details of my MC account when I log in with this account but when I use the official launcher it says I dont own the game at all.

    I can't redeem Minecraft bedrock edition.

    It is now June 17. That link goes nowhere. I also have been trying to download the free Java & Bedrock edition, with no success. I log into the store, it tells me to go to the Xbox Launcher. I go to the XBox Launcher and it will not let me log in. I have downloaded the launcher 5 times and keep getting the error message that the launcher is not available in my account even though I am logged and have owned Minecraft for over a decade.

    Any suggestions?

    Uninstall the launcher you are currently using, download the new launcher from the Microsoft Store app and log your account into the launcher. When you log in to the launcher, use the option to log in with your Microsoft account and enter the data of the Microsoft account you migrated.
