Launch Xbox One disc drive doesn't always work

My Xbox One fails to read my Blu-ray and Xbox One games on a regular basis. It started off ok but then it would take it about 3 or 4 tries for it to read the disc. Now it takes over a dozen! What can I do to get this fixed?

http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/disc-drive/disc-drive-solution You could Also try Cleaning the Disc from inner to outer. You could always borrow your friends Game and see if that works.

Xbox one DVD drive not reading

DVD drive doesn't read some discs, have to hold disk for a second then let it go, even then doesn't always work. Videos online shows disc not seating in drive, support says no record of this problem.

 

It sounds like your disc drive is going, I had a similar problem but mine would also make the grinding noise so to speak and not read the discs. I literally just mailed mine out today for repairs.

 

If that is the case you will need to create a service order, either calling support 1 800 469 9269 or going to
myservice.xbox.com/.../welcome.aspx where you can create the order yourself. I recommend you, either option you choose, specify the issue happens VERY OFTEN (if not always) so
they can be aware of that

Yup this also has been happing to me until yesterday it just completely stopped working all together. My warranty just ran out too. So send it in as soon as possible or you will have pay 135$ on top of what you already paid 500$ for the console. Wish they
would stand up and fix it for free it was faulty from the DAY one, no pun intended for my Day one edition console.

 

Yep, my warranty expires in less than a week. Got lucky in that sense I guess. Sending it in tomorrow. Went through this twice with the 360 and now the One. Wish MS would fix this issue they keep having!!

 

Hey this worked for me on my day one Xbox ONE. Same issue doesn't read the game or blu ray. This sounds weird but when inserting the disc hold it and wait till it tries to pull it in and hold for about two seconds. After awhile you will notice the disc will
be sucked in a little bit faster (might be hard to notice) and then it begins to read. I have noticed if you just allow it to suck in the disc normally the disc goes and it doesn't even read or know the disc is even in there.

I never knew I had this problem till I purchased a second game and took the disc out for the first time which was a week after my crappy warranty ran out.

 

If it's not reading it at all and you don't hear any grinding noises check to see if there's an update available to the Blu-Ray software. My disk drive started making grinding noises a couple of weeks ago. Sometimes I have to tap the top of it to get it
to grab the disk and spin up like normal.
