    Latest Xbox controller constantly disconnecting and reconnecting while gaming.


    I just bought a new xbox controller because my current controllers bumper broke. I ordered the latest controller from Microsoft on Amazon that's compatible with the Xbox series X/S and Xbox One. The controller synced with my console at first but once in
    game it would constantly disconnect and reconnect with the light on the controller blinking everytime it did so. I did all of the possible solutions I could find online including updated the controller with a USB cable attached, hard restart the console, resyncing
    the controller, removing anything that could be interfering with the signal from the controller to the console, and changing the batteries. I double checked it wasnt the console by using the broken controller to syne with the console and gaming for a hour.
    Today I brought a second controller from Best Buy but it's still the latest controller from Xbox that is compatible with the Xbox One and also the Xbox series S/X. I continue to experience the same problem exactly as before with the previous new controller
    and still tried everything to solve the problem with all the same solutions as before. So now I'm hoping someone can help because I think it may be a problem with the latest controllers not connecting correctly to Xbox One's. Any ideas other than what I have
    already done?

    Revert/Rollback/Downgrade Xbox Controller Firmware. There is a way to do this!!! (FULL guide with pics)

    im on firmware 5.11.3118.0 for xboxc series S controller - latest, been on for weeks, before the problems with constantly disconnecting & reconnecting to the console after the latest console update about 2 weeks ago.

    tried the controller firmware rollback via xbox assist, when you check the firmware it just says something went wrong - its on the latest firmware.......

    is anyone having issues where the controllers are constantly disconnecting from the xbox one and then won't reconnect? We got this same console and the controllers disconnect every few days and to get them to reconnect we have to unplug the xbox for 20
    seconds then reconnect it. using the connect buttons on the controller/console does nothing for some reason (no issues like this on the regular xbox one we have). very disappointing.

    Opinions on an aggravating connection issue

    I get disconnected while playing games about 75% of the time. I'm constantly getting disconnected and reconnected to Xbox live parties. I usually stay connected to Xbox live just disconnected to the games.

    If I'm at the dashboard I will still be disconnected to my Xbox live party but usually it automatically connects back.
