Latest Xbox App Update Problems (Crashing)

The beta app has fixed the crashing issue for me.

I have to say, I'm not a big fan of the way the friends list shows activity alerts, so your friends' names change colour and expand to show that they've just unlocked an achievement, posted a screenshot or whatever. I hope they add a way to turn that off,
cos all I want is a straight up list so I can see who's online, what they're doing, and send them messages or party invites. If I want to see activity I'll just look at the regular activity feed.

 

If you're still getting crashing issues, guys, please update to the latest version of the app we just put out. It should resolve a large number of these issues.

 

Has some of the party functionality been removed in the beta? I still see the option to start a party, but when I click on the gamertag of a friend that I know is in a party, I no longer see the details of the party (the names of the other people in it),
nor do I get an option to join it. I can only start my own party.

 

I clic on the beta app on the simey button and i submit a report.

The app is still crashing for me, when i clic on friend, bang the app crah and didn't respond.

 

I have been trying for 2 days now to load xbox on my desktop and get nothing just a green screen with the numbers 9.9.16003.00000 in the top right corner of the screen. It worked perfectly fine last time I used it on Saturday evening.

 

To be clear, if you're experiencing these issues please make sure you're updating to the latest version of the beta build, not the latest version of the regular app.

 

A new version of the regular app has just been rolled out, and it contains the fix for the app crashing when your friends list loads if you have a large number of friends.

I've gone back from the beta app to the regular app now and it's working fine so far.

 

I still having issue.

Do you need a gold account to use this app ?

I have only 18 friends and when i look into my friends list, even with the beta app i have a freeze of the app

 

Having a similar issue; it'll load up properly once I start the app but clicking on other options, it'll freeze a few seconds into loading, oh lets, my profile.

 

HappySpartan and JcTrickY what version of the app are you two using?

JcTrickY and HappySpartan Jr, could you provide us with the exact steps you are taking when these errors occur? Even better, if you're able to access the feedback section of the app without crashing, we can track the situation that way and it will provide
us with much more information.

 

I know why the app freeze because i am not gold...

I explain, when the last week end silver member where gold for two days, the app didn't crash....

Today i am silver again and the app crash....

What a shame....
