Latest Xbox 360 update - just will not complete !!! xbox 360 update error ...

System requests latest security update, we say "yes" and tries 3 or 4 times before producing at error code .... 416b-0000-3000-0906-8007-0070

Its been find for ages.

I tried:

downloading installing the update from usb drive

formatted internal 4gb storage (removed 32gb usb flash drive - additional storage)

Cleared system cache (settings / storage / "Y" / clean cache)

Removed profile

Created new temp profile

Removed wifi settings so it's just a stand alone xbox 360

Removed power , added power and restarted , ran update from usb drive

Spoke nicely to the machine #^$%^%$^$%^$%^$%^$%^ machine but still no joy

So now we have a blank, almost virgin xbox 360 ... still wanting an update but just will not install ....

any thoughts any one

UPDATE FAILED: can't process the xbox live update whether from USB or via download

Hi all,

i've been struggling with a frustrating issue where I can't install a required xbox live update. i tried to download the update and i tried installing the update through a usb. in both cases i receive the following error status code:

3f4b - 0000 - 3000 - 0906 - 8007 - 0070

I have an xbox 360 s. this was working fine yesterday. i repeat. everything was working fine before i tried this update

try (setting/storage/choose storage /LB/ RB/ X/ LB/ RB/ X/yes)

Just download the latest update on your computer:
Xbox
360 Software Updates then using a USB flash drive or CD, install it and it should have all the latest drivers for the wireless adapter.

The only software you can burn to a CD for the 360 is the latest

If so it is an update issue. Try connecting wired to get the latest update or copy it to a USB stick/CD and update that way:-

support.xbox.com/.../system-updates

Just a heads up, the latest batch of original Xbox games are available to purchase but will not download to Xbox 360. The download corrupts near the end.

This is usually due to the download being flagged on Microsoft's end as "Xbox 360 Game" instead of "Xbox Originals".

Hopefully this'll get resolved soon.

That's great news that the error can be resolved. Have been trying to download The Emperors Tomb for days. Complete format of Xbox 360, OS update deleted and reinstalled. Network checked, downloaded other live content no problem. Thought it was me! or 360,
pleased error can be resolved. Thanks for post.
