    Latest Update Xbox "Home" button issue


    I frequently use the media player to watch movies from my flash drive in my Xbox One S, after the latest update, I've noticed that if I'm watching a video, and press the home button to multi-task or check the time, the media player app simultaneously activates
    the chapter forward function at the same time that the home menu is opening. Not a big deal, but a bit bothersome. Is there a fix in the works for this?

    Controller gets disconnected

    ive seen this with a few beta updates.. it seems to be a isolated thing.. my issue worked out after a few reports/chats with Microsoft directly.. I think they pushed me an update thru and it went away..

    my latest issue has been wireless controller just going non responsive except the home button as well as chatt just going in and out thru my Kinect..

    Yep, that was my issue. Install the latest update with the link I provided. I thought I just had some sort of issue with the Store but I realized I never had the Anni update.

    It'll take some time.

    Hey there this is a Common issue at the moment it seems like players who run the new Xbox home screen for preview can back out of this by pressing the home button.

    So it does seem there is a close enough solution so far if you aren't running the latest preview update then you will need to use Xbox smartglass to finish what ever you wanted to say. But you will have to power cycle the console to get it working again.

    Happened to me too after hitting the home button in the Titanfall beta. Had to do a hard reset to get it to work again, looks like a bug after the latest update.

    I have the exact same problem and it won't let me hard reset, the only thing the home button works with is turning on the controller and nothing else.

    Did you try doing a hard reset on the console? Hold the power button on the console down for 10 seconds or until it shuts down completely. Let is set for a couple of minutes then power it back up. Once it is logged back in test it and see if the results
    are different. Good Luck!
