Latest update ruined surround sound!

Playing games and watching movies I get all speakers working (5.1) but when watching Netflix or any app that streams the center speaker isn't not working. when is this bug going to be fixed? When I switch to the ps3 or 360 everything is fine and working
as intended.

No update on when this surround sound won't be in beta? My Dish Hopper doesn't seem to like this beta surround sound

No surround sound on YouTube app

Update. I do not get surround sound on any games either. So the surround sound only works on DVD/ bluray. Any ideas?

It's definitely an issue with the latest update. (I have the same problem you're describing while watching TV). It appears whatever they did broke surround sound, so I hope they're working on a fix. There are a few posts about it, so I hope that will get
their attention.

I'm having the same issue. No surround sound options work ever. I am stuck with just stereo, I hope they fix this soon. I am holding off on buying any more games until it is fixed and even thinking about selling the Xbox One already and I like Xbox.

That's not good, I'm now so used to having the sound on my 360 coming through my sound bar in surround through the optical lead. Surely they can fix this with an update can't they ? Otherwise that's a bit of an over site. Latest technology you sure...

Just re-looked it up and it seems like there is a patch coming for it. As it stands now it is just Stereo unless you can output it into something that can produce surround sound, I miss surround sound so much makes Battlefield and other games so much better.
