LATEST UPDATE RUINED HARD DRIVE

So, I borrowed my friend's hard drive (which has the latest updates installed), configured my USB for storage, then moved my profile over to the USB. I then turned the console off, removed the hard drive, leaving only my USB in, and when I turned the system
back on, it told me that I need the latest updates, and do not have storage available for updating, and therefore cannot use Xbox live. Will I need to get myself an actual hard drive?

You will have to go into your hard drive memory and delete the update from there. Or do a complete cache delete to remove all latest updates.

I cleared the cache for my hard drive and then allowed the latest 3MB update to download again and I was able to play,

I am in the Preview Program, have the latest update, and have had no problems with my Xbox recognising the external hard drive.

NO THAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM, THE PROBLEM IS YOUR UPDATE !! NEXT TIME PLEASE READ !! Your update is turning my xbox on randomly, and will not allow it to turn off, unless unplugged ... power options don't matter, I have it set to to turn off
after 6 hours, it DOESNT TURN OFF IT TURNED ITSELF ON LAST NIGHT and wsa running for 8 hours on its own when I woke up this morning to find that out ...

YOUR UPDATE IS WASTING MY XBOX'S LIFE AND RUNNING UP EVERYONES POWER BILLS, and this is the stupid response I get ... ridiculous ...

IM gonna speak to a lawyer about legal action, over a million people are getting at least another 10 dollars or so on their power bill because of this huge mistake made in this update ...

Again not an isolated incident, my friend's xbox does the same thing, over 50 people ... they have to unplug their xbox , like I do, to protect it and their power bill because of this update ...

and about your joke of an enforcement team, if you can block a person, and keep seeing them in the same game lobbies, there is something wrong, they aren't doing their job, and never have, they are a joke. ... just like your answer to me is a joke ... just
like this update was ajoke ... Are you trying to burn out my xbox to force me into buying a scorpio !?!!?!?!
