Latest Sniper Elite 3 update wrecked the Xbox, literally

I tried to play Sniper Elite 3 yesterday on the Xbox One, and it prompted for a game update that was close to 21 Gb. I know it isn't the internet connection timing out (I got a 300 MBps fiber connection) and it works fine on other devices at home, but the
update starts and then times out saying network error it's a Wired connection, but gave the same issue for the WiFi as well.The generic error code it's giving is
0x80070079 for the Game Update, not an Xbox Update. I've gone thru troubleshooting for even this error code to no end to try and fix the issue.

Long story short, I managed to kick off the update process post uninstalling everything, power cycling the Xbox, the installing SE3 while disconnected to the internet and then launching the update process again. This time, the update got downloaded, but
it gets stuck at "Installing 25%". What I observed while troubleshooting this is that all my saved game states in the Sniper Elite 3 Campaign mode were showing as <CORRUPTED>.

Did troubleshooting again, but nothing works. And this isnt the first time I've had issues with SE3, previously post the last 10Gb Day One update, it used to go into a Downloading Updated Content loop, and even that hasnt been fixed till date.

Additionally, the Hunter Weapons Pack, Allied Reinforcements Weapons Pack and Camo Weapons Pack also fail to install and I'm at my wits end with this,.

Wonder how such problematic games are even allowed to be sold on the store or retail without sufficient Q&A!

While this rant takes shape, would appreciate any help in troubleshooting/ fixing this. I've also done a Factory Reset of the Xbox today morning, but same issue persists.

Sniper Elite 3 has a 10gb day one patch/update for Xbox One.

The game is Sniper Elite v2. Literally. Zombie Army was standalone DLC for Sniper Elite v2.
