Latest Microsoft Minesweeper Game

I want to know if I can still download an older version of minesweeper say prior to the last update and here is my reason? The latest version does not have any way of getting a true full screen. We are left with a tool bar at the top and bottom of the screen.
Also there is this humungous side bar on the right side of the screen that takes up about 25% of the game board and really serves no function. I used to play the game often but have quit because of these annoying features. It wasn't broke so why did they fix
it? I made the mistake of purchasing the game hoping these features would go away but they didn't. I will not pay for another year under these circumstances. So I ask again is there an older version I can download?

You can only if you have Windows 8. If you have Windows 10, then there is no way to roll back to the previous version of the game.

Today I've installed the latest Windows 10 update and still getting the error signing in to Microsoft Minesweeper. The restore down/maximize button is missing from Minesweeper window.

FYI: the same bug is present in Microsoft Minesweeper, latest version, Italian language.

If you play a "treasure hunt" daily challenge with no end animation, when you find the last treasure surrounded by ladybugs the app crashes.

All my stats for November have been erased after the latest compulsory update for MineSweeper. I am not a happy chappy!

None of the new achievements worked for me on Windows 8.0. The latest version of Minesweeper I was able to update to on Windows 8.0 was 1.8.0.31029.
