Latest ESO trailer, 07 April

Just in case you fine folks have not seen it yet, the latest ESO cinematic trailer, "". Obviously, the game won't look like this but taken on it's own merits, the trailer
is still impressive imho.

LadyB, Chemist and Angelus I'm sure at least got the same email I did so they likely have.... You will need to sign in to YT for proof of age if you go to the above link. I have to say the Elf girl is growing on me, she is super hot in this trailer... literally.
Anyone else think she looks like Evangeline Lily, aka Kate from "Lost" and more obviously, playing the elf warrior hottie in the 2nd Hobbit movie?

Hi Geddy, I have thought so from the first time I saw her. It's not really the eyes but the hair and the whole attitude. If I learned that Evangeline Lily had provided motion capture for the elf I would be totally unsurprised. Chemist posted the link on
the ESO forum where I replied but I will reiterate my two points.

First, I am not happy about the way the Nord used Miss Elf in The Seige especially after she saved all of them at the end of The Arrival. I hope she has some major vengeance in the next trailer. I also hope old broken horn gets his comeuppance. I don't like
him.

Second, I would so pay money to see an Elder Scrolls movie of this quality.

I caved, partially, and signed up for the Xbox beta. If I get in I will go buy the One early. I don't really think there will be any price drop yet and a budle would do me no good (other than to sell it, I guess).

 

Hi LadyB, Not sure what he was doing with her either but it worked pretty well. Somewhere down the road after Molag Bal is stuffed back into his realm, she'll no doubt look back on it, and one horn, fondly... lol... of course she would be totally justified
in a well placed kick to the stones too.

ES games (Halo too) would translate well to the big screen. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see either or both in cinemas before the decade is out. I'd fork over the $$ to take my kids to see an ES movie - in IMAX 3D of course.

I have been a good boy and stashed away some loot periodically and I would get the console earlier than planned also if that beta comes available. While shopping for peaches, I did see the XboxOne standard & Titanfall editions @ Walmart this past weekend
for $449. Walmart online also, with free shipping or free store pickup.

Alas, the bulk of my funds are comprised of Amazon gift certificates; Amazon has yet to offer any discounts on the new console that I could find.... get with the program slackers!

BestBuy has the console for $449, both versions as well... Not that I'm chompin at the bit for Titanfall, but they are basically giving it to you for free now, and the themed controller. I would definitely have to give it a try, provided I didn't have to
play with a bunch of foul mouthed 13yr olds.

I've read TitanFalls graphics are very good on the new console version.

 

Well, there is a bit of a price dip then. I won't get it until I have ESO in some form available to me since there is nothing else I want to play and I have enough to play on the common or garden variety 360. I continue to keep my fingers (and toes) crossed
for a beta invite.

 

I fully intend to wait it out as well... unless something comes along between now and then and that seems unlikely when you look at what games are coming up this year.... where did you sign up for this beta may I ask?

I looked on Amazon yesterday at the Xbox One games and there is nothing out that interests me. I am curious about Assassin's Creed but I have one on the 360. The new FF interests me but it isn't even out yet.

I have wondered in the past if you wouldn't like Assasin's Creed. I played the first one, but found the controls a bit tedious. My niece tho, she is probably the foremost authority on the AC games that I know of. She is an addict, and would happily ramble
on with you about those games... play cooperatively, and she is not a flippitygibbet teen either, although she does tend to wax poetic about AC. A starving graphic artist by trade.

If you get the game and like it, or if you want more info than you can possibly fit in your head, I can make the introductions, she's on my friends list, I bet you could pick her out easily. She loves the ES games as well.

I got Revolutions really cheap with a best Buy coupon a couple of Christmases ago and gave it a try. I just really suck at platformers which is why I was dubious but love the look of it. I am always attracted to games with amazing art. I was doing okay and
then got to a part where I had to climb a wall and couldn't. But it was more because I couldn't remember everything I was shown in the tutorial and I couldn't find a help to tell me what I was doing wrong. I expect that it was just that by that point all the
AC fans know how to do it and are over the tutorials. I also picked up AC II when it was free on gold.

I sympathize with the starving artist thing. I've been there myself. I have a friend who's daughter is in SCA and loves animals and art so she got a fine arts degree, then realized her error and got a 2 years degree in veterinary scince and biology so she
could get a job.

 

She works at Meijer Dept store now stocking shelves at night. She got her BA from the University of Dayton, then went to San Francisco for her MA, but did not complete after the same realization as your friends daughter.

I was a late comer to AC. I think I gave up about when you did, but in the original game. There was some task to do, I forgot what I learned in the tutorial and wasn't motivated enough to go back and look. I started Skyrim shortly after and never went back.
