LATENCY SPIKES

I'm running

download speed 27.76

upload speed 4.74

wireless strength 82%

NAT Type: Open

and then my latency jumps around from 60-1000. I have Time Warner Internet with the most expensive package (50 download and 5 upload) and I'm still having this issue. anyone have a solution. I'm trying to play Titanfall and I just keep "retrying to connect
to server" over and over in a match. I cant finish a game without this happening for a few min a match (and I have tried to play with Ethernet cable in and same lag).

Who's fault is my latency

I'm only getting latency spikes at night. I have done everything imaginable except complained to my ISP. Im only getting latency spikes at night from 6-11. I live in Montana...500 miles from Seattle and whenever I search problems online I find forums with
people from different continents!

My ISP is charter I'm supposed to have 60 down 5 up. If I do detailed network stats Illl get 50ms one time and immediately do it again and get 300+ on my computer I'll test to Seattle and get about 40 ms everytime...so I really want to know who's fault it
is before getting charter involved

 

Bug Report - Random Lag/Latency/Ping Spikes

I hate to leave this post unanswered, so I'll answer it now!

The problem was that my router at the time did not support multiple consoles.

So I went ahead and got one that did!

I bought the Nighthawk R7000.

If you guys are having the same problem visit click this link and check to see if your router supports multiple consoles, whether it would be two Xbox Ones or an Xbox One/PS4 combo:

Was that the time the servers were lagging though? It may not have been on your end. Have you tried playing since then? Let me know if it happens again. :]

 

just played two games and same situation

 

just ran a test on my xbox and latency is 1976 ms

 

Same thing happens to me all game. I get that message at least 10-15 times per match. It makes this game unplayable. And just in case someone asks, here's what my network stat are when I test them

Download speed: 9.58 Mbps

Upload Speed: 1.20 Mbps

Download Packet Loss: 0%

Upload Packet Loss: 2%

MTU: 1480

Latency: 84 ms

 

Seems like a lot of people are having lag issues guys. Hold tight. I'm sure they're looking into it. Sorry I don't have more info!

 

Fixed it! I called Xbox network support number and they helped a lot. my problem was that I was using a Apple router and I guess they are terrible. they create lag issues for games. I directly connected my Ethernet cable to the modem instead of the crap
apple router and I haven't lagged since. hope this helps anyone with the same or similar issue. if not id advise you to call Xbox support number because they are awesome. It wasn't even the Microsoft problem and they still helped me out.
