Latency problems

I'm having issues with my latency, my latency is usually between 60 to 66ms and today it's been idling at 120 down to 88ms.

I've tried restarting my modem, going offline and online, disconnecting my ethernet cable and changing port selection.

My nat type is usually open and it was at strict all of a sudden, changed my port and made it a open NAT Type. The Xbox is still around 90-88ms. Nothing worked. It's supposed to be around 60ms, never 100 or 80ms.

Hi, how are you connecting to the internet? Is it using a wireless or wired connection?

Usually the latency depends on how far your ISP servers are from the Microsoft servers. (But a lot of more factors including weather can decrease the latency)

Try using a custom DNS to see if that improves the latency:
go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings

Once you’re inside the Advanced Settings menu, go to DNS settings and select Manual from the list of available options.
When you get to the next screen, enter 8.8.8.8 in the box associated with the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 in the Secondary DNS box.

Once the default DNS addresses have been changed, restart your console and see if the issue has been resolved at the next console startup.

If that doesn't work try using 1.1.1.1 as primary and 1.0.0.1 as secondary
