    Having bad latency problems on Xbox One. I have 100Mbps download and 10Mbps up cable internet through Zito Media. Speedtest.net tracks the speeds as 94 Mbps down and 9Mbps up with 44ms latency on the laptop. The speedtest on Xbox One says 56 Mbps down
    and 8Mbps up with 136 latency. I took the console to my stepdaughters house to test it on her ATT internet that is DSL. I got 67ms latency on 5 of 5 tests in 10 minutes. Both places I had it wired directly to the modem. Is there a firewall issue, or something
    else that is fixable? I don't want to switch to ATT internet because it's the same price for a fourth of the speed thatI get with Zito Media. I have a Netgear 6220 wifi router connected to a Hitron modem, if that helps. Someone please help!!!!! I can't
    even play anything online due to the lag being so bad. At times the ping goes up over 150ms, and has been as high as 200ms.

    A few times I thought people were using shotguns because they would run past me, one shot and I was dead. Then on the kill cam they had hit me 4-5 times with a rifle.

    Kill cam highlights the lag quite a lot.

    Also, lag has a big effect on games where it only take a few bullets to die as half a second lag is the difference between been alive and dead

    Yeah. Outplayed. Right. I guess latency has nothing to do with it. Aren't you just a clever one.

    what is the model number of the hitron modem ? most hitrons are also routers (gateways) and that might be the problem....

    that is also a router , 2 routers will cause all kinds of issues , you can put it in "bridge mode " and that will disable the router part and make it just a modem....you will need to reboot everything when done , check the link below for a guide on how......

    forgot to mention that once you bridge it , ONLY the number 1 port on the back should be active , so make sure thats the one you use to plug into your router...

    I don't see why all the fuss about the lag when Infinity ward or was it sledge hammer themselves announced that they are using the same net code as black ops. Forgot the source and I am too lazy to find it so look it up. I too lag like crazy on that game
    so I play something else. Anyway I here patch coming soon. Till then L4D2 w/ friends :)

    I'm still having that problem. Are you? I'm just as let down! I staged some dude in the back but I died then saw kill cam, this guy had turned around an shot me from my left. I'm glad ever buying cod again fooled me once with black ops this is twice!

    Yep.

    Same thing mw2 was great for me, same cod4 and w@w. No lag problems, unless it was a *** host etc. But what's happening in mw3 is the exact reason I quit blops after a few days, just could get a shot off. Everytime and enemy would literally pop around the
    corner, I die in bullet every single time.

    I've been hearing about people with great connections and lag compensation, well I have a pretty bland connection and I'm having the same problem. I've had to revert to sniping only, just I'm able to to see him when he sees me. Killcam also shows, him coming
    around the corner, looking for 2-3 seconds, then aiming on me, then firing, downing me in 3-4 bullets. But in my screen I never see him, it's just pop and I drop

    Prob not takes a lot to patch that. That is why it never got patched in Blops. they will try to make it batter but the would have to rewrite to much to patch it.

    At leaset that is what I am told.
