    Latency

    Hello,

I have been experiencing a lot of lag these last two weeks. I have now found out it is due to high latency. The latency varies from 200-250 ms. I have tried a factory reset but that didn't work. On my laptop the latency is 20 ms so it is clear it is a Xbox
issue. Has anybody got any suggestions as to what I could do or does it need to go in for repair. I have also tried it on wireless and wired so it is a xbox issue.

What latency? I downloaded a new system update on my Xbox One X console a few days ago, and have not noticed any new latency issues since the update!

What sort of console do you have, and how good is your internet and ISP?

I'm with Vodafone NZ and have 100mb/s download and 10mb/s upload speed.

Remember Microsoft is a worldwide company, with it's origins in America, but they provide their service to New Zealand, Australia, and the UK and Canada. Many of us don't live near a Microsoft data centre server facility of theirs. They have two in Australia
though to help AU/NZ peeps connect to the service with less latency. But our planet is huge so many of us may live in excess of 100km away from the nearest Microsoft Server. Unless they install servers in every city.

Maybe cause I have the world's most powerful console, the Xbox One X, and a really good ISP, that I'm not experiencing this so called latency thingy. If there was a big issue since the last update, more people would have complained about it. And yours would
be the first thread out of the 30 million users on Xbox One.

30+ latency is no big deal. Stop acting like it is (please). I get 187-230ms latency, but I live in a large NZ city. Yet I can still do my online stuff with no worries, except when, not if, XBL servers play up.

If you're referring to the software and you don't have an Xbox One X console, it could be hardware limitations since the Xbox One S and Xbox One Original consoles have pretty weak speaks and processing and computational hardware power to process stuff more
smoother compared with the Xbox One X console. Unless you're in the Preview Program, in which case, get out of it. Wouldn't want beta unfinished and un-finalized software running on a console that costs a couple hundred dollars.

Granted Microsoft is the largest software company in the world. And Xbox One's UI many have already complained about it, you just need to compare it to Xbox 360's current UI. With Xbox One's UI you have to press more buttons on your controller unlike Xbox
360, and there's a huge chunk of space on the XB1's UI known as spam city, called the activity feed, a lot of unnecessary stuff and ads, even for Gold Subscribers. But Xbox One gets a system update every month practically. They're still trying to improve it
cause it's such a mess lol. But it's better than what it was like November 2013 when it launched.

    Warframe on Xbox Clound

but running the game on the cloud ruins it anyway due to the latency.

XBOX One - Windows Media Center Support

Media Center is dead. It was never mainstream - only ever a niche product for enthusiast power users. I get you're upset due to your investment; you can buy another Xbox 360 and daisy chain it to your Xbox One via HDMI. I actually tested this last night
and it works, albeit with some minor latency.

    Half Pixelated screen when streaming!

Is there any update on this? Now been experiencing this issue since the last app release so looking at about 2 weeks. Is there anyway to revert to a previous working version?

I also have not received any information to my inquiry. What is the Xbox App checking packet loss and latency to?

I find it a big coincidence that it shows 50% packet loss and 95ms latency and I am having 50% of my screen pixelated.
