Last Xbox console I ever purchase

So my xbox fell prey to the disc grinding issue that seems to have haunted many other xbox's. I start a live chat with a Microsoft support and they inform me that to fix it I have to pay an additional $135 since my console is 2 months outside of warranty.
They also informed me that the $60 game that was in the console and that was ruined inside the console was my own problem and there was nothing they could do about that either. I have always been a sort of Microsoft fan boy and even when the 360 had its hardware
failures atleast the way Microsoft handled the errors made me keep faith in them. But now with these set of failures I am done. To pay over $400 dollars for the Xbox One when it released and for it to have a hardware issue that MICROSOFT HAS ADMITTED IS THEIR
FAULT and for me to be responsible for all the financial costs of it is just revolting. And thats not even including the $60 game I lost that the support people I talked to just pretty much told me sorry for your luck about. Then the lady in live chat told
me it would take 10-15 days to get my xbox back. But when I was setting the service up with a "Superviser" over the phone he told me it would take 21-30 days. So yea I guess the joke is on me for paying another $150 to get this xbox repaired so that it is
more than just a paperweight but Microsoft has lost a customer today. I am seriously disappointed with how well they equipped their employees to handle this problem as well as the policies they have put in place to solve issues with their own products. I should
not be responsible for them putting out faulty product and Microsoft should be much better equipped to ensure that their paying customers are taken care of. This will be the last Microsoft gaming console that gets any of my money again. I am not sure why I
am even posting this tbh but I guess I atleast wanted to attempt to let Microsoft know of their shortcomings, not that they would care to fix them anyways.

Have you given your console a proper
power cycle?

Usually, when you set your console to "Instant-On" in the power settings, the system might behave erratically and subtle things stop working after a while. A power cycle is usually the trick to "refreshing" the system parameters and get things running back
to normal.

every time i try to turn on with controller it doesnt work and i have to recalibrate the connection. this is the 3rd xbox one i have had trouble with.....on to playstation
