Last update completely reset my xbox

I just got finished updating my Xbox one and when it restarted it was like I had a new console. no games installed no apps installed nothing. Did this happen to anyone else? I have a very slow internet connection and it will probably take me at least two
or three weeks just to download all the game patches and add ons... THANKS MICROSOFT!!!

Xbox One won't load or play several of my Blu-ray discs

Anytime I have tried to watch a Blu-Ray movie since last the last update all I get is a black screen, to get the disc to play right I have to reset my One. Completely frustrating!!!

 

Anybody else experiencing massive new issues after the new update?

Yes and I don't know anyone with these issues. If its been that way since update, I'd factory reset the Xbox and let it do a complete refresh of everything. WARNING: You will have to redownload everything not on external HDD. But it will fix it and probably run better than ever. I always recommend doing factory resets after major OS upgrades like this on PC. Xbox is no different.

 

I just had the exact same thing happen to me. The only solution given to me was to re-download everything. The problem is, I am stationed in Japan, and have a data cap on my internet usage. Downloading a game or app here and there is fine, but having to
start from scratch would eat up my entire month's data in a heartbeat. The rep suggested that I send in my console, but it took 2 months to get my console back last time I had to send it in from here, so that is not the best solution.

 

I am a preview member as well as a dir hard Xbox fan, and loyal customer. With that being said I had the exact same thing happen to me..... I have things to do in my life and sometimes only have a small window to relax and play my Xbox like I would like
to. Well tonight I can't bc I have to 're-download everything!!! Are you kidding me!!!!! Since launch I have nothing but issues... Let's start.... 1) movie I would buy wouldn't show up.... Had to 've on the phone for hours just to hear that I may need to wipe
my console to make sure everything was good with it. 2) constantly needing to hard reset my Xbox one so I can connect to either chart system, to other players in games, controller won't connect..... Ect....ect......ect........freezing issues, broken game after
broken game, I have had to already send in my Xbox one for a repair, and wait 2 months to get it back, and the list goes on and on.... And I have had mine for less than a year and a half..... Never once being compensated and I have been an Xbox customer for
8 years!!!!!!!! Absolutely unbelievable, and this isn't just me but many others, Xbox ppl let me tell you what, you really don't know how to treat your customers and PlayStation 4 is sounding better and better......

 

Just happened to me as well. Luckily the majority of my stuff is on the external 4tb drive. Going to start downloading back to the internal drive now. UGH. I'm also a preview member, FYI.

Garbage, Microsoft... stop sending it to our XBOXES!

I'm just reinstalling my stuff overnight. Didn't have THAT much on the internal drive. That's why externals are a must have if you have a ton of games/data. Sure glad I had most of my stuff on that drive instead of the internal!

 

Same has just happened to me, lucky i only had a few games on my internal hardrive but, the updates and everything is going to be a joke

right now and they are asking that you do not update your console at this time.

Yes I am a member of preview but correct me if I am wrong but if you refuse to update doesn't the X1 pretty much shut down?

 

Same happened to me and I too have pretty slow internet. If I put my console into offline mode it wont even let me install disc based games. I have to be online and it's taken 5 hours to install 35% of Murdered Soul Suspect. This is beyond unacceptable.
I tried contact support but even that isn't working. It's not like we can reject the updates either. Does anyone know an email address I can complain to as Customer Service is closed and livechat isn't working?

 

I also can't post to the preview forums because the group cannot be found. I am a member of the preview program, how else would I have got the update?

 

BIGmuddyBRONCO - This is something you will want to ask the preview team. You can play your Xbox on
Offline mode for the time being, and will be able to still access your games.

G O D and Glory - If you are using your phone, you will be unable to access livechat. You will want to access that via a computer, however they will only point you in the direction of the preview forums as no one on the phones/chats support
it. I've verified your access and you should have no trouble reaching those forums now.

I currently have my Xbox set to offline as I don't want to do the update for preview program, I have been trying to access the forum for early access but keeps coming up as group not found, can you help?
