Last game or app used starts every time when turning on (instant on)

Ever since Xbox Twitter support asked me do a factory reset (trying to resolve several games crashing), the Xbox always seems to start whatever the last app or game was, even if it was not playing when turned off.

For example, if I was playing Call of Duty and quit, and then turn the console off, the next time I turn it on (instant on) I usually get a 'you don't have the rights for this' since I am not logged in, or if I was logged in, the game will start up.

Same thing goes for apps. For example I have been trying to figure out some settings and the upload app, and if I was last using those when turning off, they will launch back up each time.

I can't seem to find a way to turn this off. A hard reboot doesn't do this, but then the next on/off cycle it goes back to it.

Its not harming anything, but getting really annoying, because often I am not trying to go right back into another app, etc.

Xbox One not loading games or apps

When I turn my Xbox One on and select a game (downloaded or disc) or app (e.g. crunchyroll) the Xbox makes a select noise but doesn't load the app or game. I have tried resetting the console and turning off instant on but to no avail. Please help me!

 

xboxmusic season pass loads albums songs artwork...not music

when i first bought the season pass it worked fine.now it acts exactly the same as before except that every single track is 00:00 long. every other streaming app i have works fine.even netflix and amazon play nicely on the same xbox. there is one other streaming
problem app actually. i used to buy & rent *a Lot* of tv and movies from "xbox video" or zune video. eventually it started taking longer between me hitting play and the movie or show starting. last time i tried it it took 25 minutes to start. i tried the same
movie on the same xbox on the same home network etc. instant playing video. netflix as well as the live event player and youtube and pandora all work normally. please help.

I personally like the feature - but not seen anywhere you can disable it.

Just say "Xbox, Go to TV" before switching off. No?

 

Its in settings there is an option for resume game BETA or something like that, I will do a search and come back with exact details.

 

Just out of curiosity, are you using a Logitech remote to turn it on? This happens to me after the last update if use my Logitech remote to turn it on, but not if I just turn it on with a controller or my finger. Logitech needs to update their commands for
the XOne.

 

It's called "Resume games quickly" It is under the 'Power and Startup' in the Xbox Settings, If it's turned on turn it off Hope that helps

 

@Satsumo - I don't have the TV features hooked up.

@f00x , I have seen that feature, but thats not checked. And I am assuming thats to keep certain games running or saving some sort of state. That has been off since I got the device.

@Cobalt - yes, actually! It just started happening after the last update. I need to test using the controller or button - although for some reason I think I have started it with the controller and it may have done it. Interesting find. Will see if that makes
a difference.

 

@Cobalt - I tried just a bit ago without the Logitech and it did not do this! I updated my remote so I may try it again, but if not, may remove the Xbox One start from the procedure and just use 'xbox on' or something.
