Large external hard drive problem, 0xc00d11cd (0x80070001) error

Hi there,

Following XBF Brad A advice, I am opening a new thread on this issue. I have a problem with my xbox one x not recognizing
partially a 8TB seagate xbox drive (used for media storage), which is meant to be specifically designed for xbox. It would seem that after a certain amount of TB, some media files are not reproduced/recognized (however others are; and I have not detected any
pattern which could point at specific formats, codecs, etc.). NOTE: in a previous thread, RomarioBros had identified this issue for partitions > 2TB.

I have tried with kodi, VLC, and the xbox media player....nothing works. Attach the seagate to a computer (windows OS...) and I can reproduce all the files. NOTE on ngocphi's comment: there are 1.7 TB free in the seagate, so I do not think it is a problem
of buffering space...

So, I do understand it is a problem of the xbox.

Has there been any advance on this issue?

I tried that...and many other things I did not mention (reformatting, partitions <2TB, tried with a 4TB WD -with same problem, by the way...-...nothing worked). In my view, everything points at a limitation in the xbox. Good console for gaming, but as multimedia
hub...well this is a big constrain for me, which, if not solved, will influence my future purchases.

If you're having trouble with the drive first try backing up your media files to a different drive then reformat it. If you still encounter issues with the drive after that then the problem may be with the drive itself.
