when will you be able to play your xbox one on a laptop.

What do you mean by "buzzing sound"?

Is it a buzzing noise coming from your laptop's cooling fans (or other components)? Or is it a buzzing noise from the Xbox gameplay stream?

 

If your laptop has a HDMI input you can do it now.

 

But why would you want to? I myself prefer my 60" 1080p HD TV to go with my next-gen console.

 

Mobility and I have some friends in the military that do it because a TV isn't an option.

And depending on your laptops monitor the graphics are better than a TV.

i just want to do it because my tv is gone of for repair and wont be back for a good bit.

 

You'd have to check the specs from the manufacturer. Most laptops don't and to the best of my knowledge you'll only find them on the higher end gaming laptops, I know Alienware has some that do and one of my MSI's does but like GG brought up it's not a feature
most people will use and if they do they want the larger, higher end monitors which is what you normally find on gaming laptops.

 

so my Toshiba laptop probably does not have it because I plugged my xbox one into it in through HDMI cable but no picture of the xbox one comes up on it. I just thought you could when I have windows 8

 

Most laptops have a HDMI port that is output only so you can see your laptop screen on a larger or second device (TV, monitor). Most don't have an input option. I have two Toshiba Satellite laptops and neither of them do.

Op needs an input, not an output; unless I'm missing something.

 

ahh ur right, i just googled and pasted quickly didnt even read.

You need a capture card to make in an input which will be considerably more expensive.
