    Hello, I’m
    I’m playing MSFS on a Dell PC running windows 11. I was a pilot on FS back when it was supported by Microsoft and your game came on multiple CDs. When this new version became available, I wasn’t able to play it because my laptop did not support the minimums and there wasn’t anyway to upgrade it. When that laptop crashed, I bought this one, which is a Dell XPS 17 9710. I’m use to using a flight stick, however, I can’t find my old one. My laptop keyboard does not have a number pad and most of the commands are not available. I can’t even pause the program, using the recommened shortcut of Cntrl B. I tried to map my keyboard in the settings, but I was not able to match it to the known keyboards … or perhaps I simply don’t know how to do so. Until I buy a new flight stick, I would like to use the keyboard for control, but again, I can’t get it to respond. Until then, the scenery is pretty, at least until I run out of gas and crash.

    Buddy, did you try disconnecting every external device on your PC, then try this;

    Go to windows settings > apps > search for Flight simulator app > click on it and select advanced options.

    After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

    Another option could be reinstall the game and see if you’re able to use keyboard

    depends on the keyboard you are using, some keyboards use the same circuit for multiple keys and then that prevents this, and if it did work then it could be the keyboard going faulty or the keyboard controller.

    is this on a separate keyboard or a laptop keyboard.

    Thank you for replying Lucas, i'm testing this keyboard on my laptop so, yes i have another keyboard and i already tested it to see if it was my laptop or the keyboard but the problem only appears to occur on the keyboard and i have tested a lot of programs but it's like it doesn't detect it or something i don't know, please help me out of this.

    There are multiple driver updates I can do, which one do I choose? Also, it's not a keyboard problem either. It does the same thing on my other keyboards + laptop keyboard.
