    My laptop has a HDMI port and I'm trying to connect my Xbox to it so that i may use the laptop screen as a monitor for my gaming. How do I do so?

    Check the HDMI port to see if it is an HDMI-In or HDMI-Out. It would require an HDMI-In port which most laptops don't have.

    Another note, I can only assume your laptop monitor is not 1920x1080 like the ASUS monitor you own. Most likely your laptop monitor is 1440x900 (like mine) or 1366x768. Just note that if you run at 1080 instead of the laptop's resolution, then you will see
    more strain on your hardware as well. If your laptop monitor is 1080, then disregard. However, you can run your monitor at the same res as your laptop monitor, it is recomended though to use the appropriate aspect ratio.

    Do you have a wireless laptop that has a bandwidth monitor on it? If so you could share the laptops connection to the Xbox and then monitor it to ensure it is the Xbox, if that PC only uses say 200Mb and then it jumps to GB's you know its the Xbox

    Laptop HDMI's are output only, not inputs. An Xbox console cannot be connected to a laptop HDMI. They can, however, be connected to a TV or monitor.

    There is never privacy in gaming, everything u do on Xbox and ps is monitored, your cellphones monitored, laptop monitered, your iMessage in apple devices monitored , there are so many things that are monitered. That's just life, Xbox one and ps4 will monitor
