Language settings and country!

I live in Norway. Why can't I in the settings say I live in Norway and have the language in english at the same time? Why do I HAVE to have it in norwegian if I set it to Norway?! This is driving me NUTS!

Not only that, right now I have it set to England just to have it in english. But if I change the location back to Norway (and therefore also the language), the whole menu set-up changes. Also when I have it set in english (and therefore location England) I'm
unable to put in credit card information because the stupid *** insists I live in England!!!

So to make this easy, why not let anyone chose what language they want in the setup regardless of location???

Might not be the biggest problem in the world but one that's keep coming back and are really annoying.

I have a problem with the Xbox Settings that forces me to set language to the one which is spoken in the region or I cant add an credit-card / pay pal / or any other payment info.

I pref English for every system / device / game language but by doing so I have to set the country as USA/England/New Zeeland/Greece (a list of around 12 countries) etc..

The language spoken might not always be the same as the region you currently are in. So why limit your options.

For myself its that I live in Sweden and speak both Swedish and English BUT the language to select here is Swedish. nothing more, nothing less. Even in the option were you can pick "spoken language" there is only "none"..

This option limits (some) games to be force translated to Swedish and subtitles to Swedish only.. Have you ever tried playing Assassins Creed with "Swedish assassins" cursing away in the most harmless language on earth?

I feel your pain because I'm having the same issue, as are a lot of foreign gamers. But there's a website for feedback for suggestions in upcoming updates and one of them is a request to NOT region lock the languages. You can find it right here

At the moment there is no other solution unfortunately but by liking that on the feedback page it might happen in the near future

I'm from norway to, what I found that Works for me until MS sorts this nonsense out is that I buy stuff for my Xbox 'one via the Xbox One smartglass app.. the Smartglass app has the norvegian region set, and I found that I can buy DLC frm the app and have
it automaticly downolad/install on my XB One that is set to US/English without messing about With the counrty/region setting on the console itself..I buy my games on disc, so I havent tried tu buy a whole game on digital download, but I'd be suprised if that
is any different...

I see no good reason to regionlock Languages.. I can handle the store in Norwegian, but I like my menues and games in English!

Not the Perfect solution to the issue but better than swapping the consoles locale around while we wait for a better solution..
