language of downloaded game

Pepare for the ranting... I'm *** about the fact EVERY game I download from the xbox live that not the place for several language pack is in freaking french, yes, I live in france, yes my system is placed on a bloody shelve in france, I get it, but why the
**** when ALL MY SYSTEM is in english, EVERY SINGLE THINGS about my microsoft accounts are set to be in english whenever and wherever I can, I'm FORCED to have games in french ?.

All of that to say, I want to have my games in english, not french, how do I archieve that on game with only 1 single language pack included since everytime I download it it force me to download it in french without asking if I'm fine with this language.

Language of downloaded game

Hi guys,

I have a potential stupid question here. Even though i live in Denmark, I'd like for my downloaded games to be in English, but they keep on being Danish.

Is there a way to change this anywhere?

Language of downloaded game

Hello,

Please follow the instructions located on this link here to change the language option for your account (if available).
If your living in a region with multiple languages selectable, you should be able to change it to default to English.

However, not all games will use that same language default when downloading. Usually when downloading games like Skyrim it will still download in the regions language. It's a very weird issue something that the game developer of the game has to keep in mind
when putting games on the games on demand marketplace.

French is the main language spoken in France. Therefore French is going to be the default language for all content purchased in France. If there is an option within the game to change the language then you should find it in the option/settings menu. Otherwise
you're limited to what is available as per your country's regulations and the developer.

well, then I won't get anything from xboxlive anymore unless I'm sure I can change the language and not be forced to play a game with an aweful voice acting ^^ Thx for your reply.

Yeah, but the language that is download is usually what the publisher's send out for specific regions. The language settings on the console only affect the language you see on the dashboard, not the language in games. That would be why you download games
with different languages sometimes.

The language the game is downloaded in is pre-determined according to which languages are available and which region you are downloading from.

Unless there is an in-game option to alter the language this will not be possible, unfortunately.

where you download the game from, there will be selective language packs like english, german, french etc. if you missed downloading the selective language packs. download the selective language from where you downloaded the game and reinstall the game, this will fix black screen during startup.

Hello One,

The link the two ambassadors provided shows exactly how to get the additional language packs. Quote exactly from the link they provided:

On first launch of the game, you will be prompted to decide which audio language you want to play the game in. After first launch and download of an audio pack, you can switch languages by opening the Options > Audio Language menu. You
will be able to choose from all the languages available in your version of the game. If you select another language than English, you'll be briefly redirected to your console's store to start the download. The game will then start to download the necessary
files. You can already start playing in English with the subtitles you selected (or without, if you did not select any) while the download is happening in the background.

You can track the download progress in-game in the menu Options > Audio Language. Once all files are downloaded, the game will notify you with a popup. You can switch to the desired language any time via the Options >
Audio Language menu.

To switch to the newly downloaded audio language, no game restart is required. If you would like to download another language, you can do it the same way and switch languages at any point in the game.

The website for the game doesn't even show supported languages for the game.

The language of a game is determined by what the developers make available for download in each country. Unless there is an in-game menu to change the language, there is no other way to change the language of the game.
